So, Carl was a poor defender? We seemed to play pretty good defense when he was on the team. I know carl was not tall for a PF, but I don't remember him as a huge defensive liability. I remember carl as being quick and a tireless competitor.
Jordan Hill and his 6-10 frame, as far as value is concerned. I liked Landry when we had Yao and Deke to hide him a bit...
jordan hill has some serious upside. but he has VERY slow feet... he doesn't move his feet quick enough to be great. his length and jumping ability hide this problem (some of you probably just see his dunks and love him) so it may not always be easy to see. i hope jordan hill keeps working on his quickness - the chuck-wagon can help him in that department. they're roughly equal in my opinion. we all know that landry lacks the size to truly dominate at the PF position. and jordan hill will struggle to reach his full potential as long as he keeps tripping over his own feet. coin flip Spoiler that being said, i want carl back - he was AWESOME in houston!
Landry is just a better player period. Until I see what Hill can do in the playoffs and I still got to see Hill win a game for us late in the 4th quarters of games... then don't even think about comparing Hill to Landry.
Consensus is still out but I'd take Carl. The guy took a bullet in season and came back a few weeks later.. he also lost a tooth (for the second time) and never lost a beat. The guy is a beast. Real reliable. Pretty high BB IQ. I also don't ever remember him causing too many headaches outside of his agent and don't ever remember cursing him too often. hehe Actually remember a lot of good times when Mandry was at his best.
Is this a joke??? If it is its really funny i mean carl vs. jordan!!Theres no contest of course Carl's better!!! hahahahahahaha
I don't know why everybody thinks Hill is a better defender than Landry. Hill blocks alot of shots, but I'd say they are equally mediocre. Their defensive ratings are also similar. Hill's only advantage against Landry is his athleticism and height. I don't think the potential tag is good enough to propel Hill over Landry. It should be what he has done rather what he can possibly do. Some people can't do much with their athleticism. JR Smith has the tools to be a star in the league, but right now he's backing up Affalo. Landry hasn't been steller this season, but there's a reason Landry gets more minutes than Hill. He's just simply better.
you would think this would be a hard question to answer but i'm going to go with hill. he has WAY more potential than landry. i feel bad saying that 'cos i'm a huge landry guy.
