Pirates of the Caribbean 4: On Stranger Tides [Trailer]

As disappointing as the two sequels were, I will end up watching this primarily because Johnny Depp plays the best pirate ever

 

2nd one was bad... 3rd was unwatchable... Hopefully this salvages what was a great 1st movie

 

Looks great. Jack Sparrow is the Indiana Jones of the current generation.

Glad Bloom and Knightley are out. Their side-story-romance went on far too long.

 

It looks really good. Johnny Depp is a mastermind of a pirate. Penolpe Cruz being in it is just a EPIC WIN!!

 

Mermaids....fck yeah!

 

The first movie was great because it captured the charm of the Disneyland ride, with small bits in the movie that were throwbacks to the ride itself.

None of the other movies have that, and, honestly, none of them can. Although I agree that this set the first movie at a higher level than the others, I try to accept the other movies as good and enjoyable films in-and-of their own.

 

This trailer editing look like crap and I'm pretty sure so will this movie. All the punch lines are totally off and not even funny. The actions and visual look dead and you can tell Gore Verbinski style is superior to Rob Marshall in this genre.

 

You can tell all this by a 2 minute trailor? Dude what the hell are you doing on clutchfans?? Shouldn't you be hiring Steven Spielberg to work for you??

Almost everything in that trailer look like crap. From the mermaids to the zombies. Penolpe Cruz can't even act and having a hard time reading her lines and totally monotone.

 

umm I agree with cowboy though. If you use the first 3 movies as a frame of reference you can tell this movie is another crap movie. The first 3 movies were a jumbled mess of crap with horrible acting. Incoherent plot, scenes that didnt make sense, way too long and the acting, editing was just plain $hit. Some of the most over hyped and worst movies I have seen in a long time and I generally like all movies.

 

The first one was really good, can't really argure about that.. The second one had its moments, but it wasn't as good.. And the third one sucked.. But I'm gonna give this one a chance because of Johnny Depp and Penelope Cruz of course.

 

umm okay I guess the first one was bearable. Only reason it was some what decent was the references to the Disney ride. Otherwise it was way too long. Second one crap and third one was plain $hit.

 

how did the mermaids look like crap? all they showed were their faces. That's exactly what I expected a mermaid's face to look like.

Were u expecting gills and scales?

 

agree penelope cruz's acting in the trailer is horrible!
But one good thing going for this movie is at least Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightly are not in it anymore.

 

agree about the first and how it captured the ride and the last two were nice visuals for the eyes but the rest of it sucked..the only reason why i watched the third one was a friend of mine was an extra in it (she was one of the twins girls with chow yun fat)


what really REALLY bugged me about the films was that they went and changed the ride at Disneyland now to reflect the films and its just isnt the same anymore. Its still not a bad ride but its lost a lot of its charm and "magic" of it from when was a kid. Couple in that Disney went and made it more "PC" over the years just adds into that. They really really should have left that ride alone adding in all the Jack Sparrows and Davy Jones stuff has near ruined it for me

 

wow really they changed the Disney ride?? That is a huge bummer.. Part of the charm of that ride was the nostalgic feeling and the history behind it. I loved it as a kid and still love the ride as a grownup. Hmm but I guess its a new generation of kids that Disney now needs to cater to. But you are right its just not the same if they changed the ride to reflect Jack Sparrow and Davy Jones. BUMMER

 

Am I dumb if I could not follow the plot line of the second movie?
