Happy that we got our win  .but i agree what one of the commentary people said about chase. "he's going towards the hoop to soft, he needs to get in there aggressively"

Too bad the knicks are winning every game now, looking more and more like a contender out there, we are still 5 games under .500.......

Why is Kevin Martin so effective in the first half of games and then is a no show in the second?

Kevin Martin barely played in the 2nd half. If you would have watched the game you'd know that.

Let's pretend you are the head coach of the Cavs. You are losing at half time, and you look at the stats and see Kevin Martin has 32 points in the first half. What do you think you will tell your players to do on defense for the second half?

    A) Deny the ball from Kevin Martin
    B) Play tougher defense on Kevin Martin
    c) Don't let Kevin Martin get open looks
    D) Deny the ball from Kevin Martin
    E) All of the above

    answer:
    E

F: We were blowing them out by about 20 points in the 3rd quarter. I think both the coach and Martin knows he doesnt need to score much after that because everyone was clicking on their shots (even Chase Brickdinger)

Yeah, I agree, that was also a reason. I was going to mention the sense of urgency was gone as well in my previous post, but he kind of asked a more general question as to why in games Martin doesn't produce as much in the second half, not just the Cavs, but I still used the Cavs as an example. I did notice the defense on Martin tightened up in the second half, and he wasn't getting as many touches. I was specifically watching for the way the Cavs would defend him because I knew there was no way the Cavs would let Martin score another 32 if they wanted a shot at winning.
Martin is consistently our high scorer, so of course teams will try to adjust and shut him down as the game progresses.
