Do you think Josh Smith could fit with the Rockets and fill our defensive void?

    kings want a point guard

both Carl Landry and Brooks are expire so a straight swap plus we throw in taylor

We trade anthony without contract extension so we get him cheap as he will no sign extension elsewhere...

This is the same as two separate trades...

    1) Carmelo for Battier, Jeffries, and a draft pick.

    2) Landry for Brooks and Taylor.

You're missing the part where the Kings would have to give something to Denver.

You must be on that good illegal sh**. Just because the Kings want a pg, we're gonna trade Brooks for Landry straight up AND throw in Taylor? On top of that, you expect us to be able to get Anthony "cheap" just because he won't sign an extension? Regardless, no team in their right mind would trade a player of his caliber for a couple scrubs and a draft pick, especially one that isn't so certain at the moment. Can you at least attempt to think before you post, much less start a thread on something?

    yeah im on viagra

If Anthony refuses to sign extension with denver or new team and makes it clear he wants new york / nets then most teams will not sign him or will give scrubs only... thus we only need to min

we sign him as a 1 yr rental then hopefully convince him

That would fit the qualifications of a Perfect TRade.

Except for one thing: The Lakers won't do it.

Why on earth would Denver do this? Just give em all of those players in exchange for anthony alone. Easier than adding the kings as a trade partner. You must be a 12 year old kid....

I think Denver might want a LITTLE more than two expirings and most likely a bad draft pick (considering we'd be a playoff team after the trade)

They actually don't have much of a choice. Under the current CBA, The Lakers have to accept if a proposed trade fits the criteria of a Perfect TRade. (ex. The OP's proposed trade or the Kobe trade)

Dude. Brooks' trade value is way higher than Landry's right now. That part of the trade is actually an example of the Rockets sending too much.

If we want Melo we're going to have to give up one of our best players: Scola or Martin. Maybe even have to package in Hill.

Other GM's are not stupid, if all Denver gets is Jeffries and Battier in return, they are not going to accept... period. Lol.

Why would Denver trade their star expiring for scrub expirings? What benefit would that do for them? But i guess if it works on trade machine and 2k11 it should work in real life.

Jeffries + cash for Jeff Foster

Foster's only played in 3 games this season. He was injured early on. During that time all the young Pacers have stepped up and won their places.

It's expiring for expiring. Rockets can use his rebounding and D at the C position or even at the 4.

with all the speculation of randolph, landry, OJ majo. I was wondering if there was a way we could get all 3.

    Here is the trade:
    http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=3yphmk3

NY gets - taylor & 1 rd pick

Houston - OJ mayo, Landry, Randolph, W.Chandler

    Memphis - JJeffries

    Sacramento - AB & D. Authur

This would over load us at PF but we would be stashing more assets.

    PG: Lowry, Ish
    SG: Martin, Mayo, CLee
    SF: Battier, Chandler, Bud
PF: Scola, Hayes, Landry, Randolph, Hill, Patterson
    C: Yao, Miller

We could probably play some ppl off position

    PG: Lowry, Ish, Lee
    SG; Martin, Mayo, Bud
    SF: Battier,Chandler,Bud,
    PF: Scola, Landry, Hayes,
C: Yao, Randolph, Hill, Patterson, Miller

We'd probably have a good Defensive team with enough Fire power

Anyways, just trying to take advantage of the situations in the rumor mill.

    Another for fun:

    http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=23g76j6

    NY get: Taylor + Pick

houston get: AI, OJ Mayo, Randolph, Chandler

    Memphis gets; Hayes

    Phil gets; Battier & JJeffries

This would be a huge shift in our locker room.

team would be assembled as this.

    PG: AB, Lowry, ISh
    SG: AI, Martin, Lee
    SF: Chandler, Bud
    PF: Scola, Hill, Patterson,
    C: Yao, Randolph, Miller

Then in 2011 we pick up Priz off free agency
And maybe even Oden for spot mins (if healthy).
