I applaud this act, but you guys are quick to forget everything we hated about his game in his time here. I love the guy, but wouldn't want him in our starting lineup especially at this point in time.

Ron is the man. This is beyond awesome.

Do not want him back on the Rockets unless we get good and need some "toughness" off the bench.

He wont do it, he's as cheap and selfish as the next black man (no racism here). Didnt he say he was going to raffle his championship ring? Has he?

artest makes a lot of mistakes on court (he's the first to admit it) but he also does a lot to make up for those mistakes (hustle, hit big shots, make a defensive play). the guy is pure rocket. i was happy when we had him and sad when he left. glad to see he's still keepin it real despite playing for da lakers. tru warier!

Yeah I think they did, If I remember correctly, Artest wanted to return to Houston, but got purposely low balled by Morey and decided to look else were...

Don't know if it was Morey's decision to low ball him thought..

That's one of the worst trades I've ever seen proposed on Clutchfans, and that's really saying something.

Instead of freeing ourselves from a long-term and expensive commitment to an injury-plagued center by letting Yao walk this summer as a free agent, we continue to pay a 7-footer to sit on the sidelines for an extra year. Then on top of that, we give up a decent young role player for a past his prime head case that still has three years at $6M plus per year on his contract after this season. So we'd be paying him about $20M to be one of the best players on a team that has no chance of contending. Brilliant!

Giraffe meat is a bit tough, but baby giraffe is absolutely delicious.

Okay seriously, what they hell does being a "black" man have to do with this.

How is the fact that his ancestors came from the African continent relevant to him donating his salary to charity

    I don't get it

Wait, yes I do

Are you as intellectually lazy as you are ignorant?

"As of last week, the raffle had already raised $464,525, according to Artest's manager." from http://sports.espn.go.com/los-angeles/nba/news/story?id=5901378

all those numbers you are seeing are before tax/agent/expenses

donating money is different than blowing it away... even if he donates all his "net salary" (i am guessing 2-3 mil) he will get tax benefit in the future to make up for it.
