@clutchfans Rockets will wear the red & yellow alternate jerseys on Jan 19 & Feb 14 at home. Not sure when they will on the road.
Idk. They look so good. We're a fourth into the season and haven't seen them yet. Those alternates seem to have taken over Academy and the Rockets team shop, yet we haven't seen our players wear them yet this season.
Why can't we just go back to our championship days jerseys? It's ridiculous how awful our current unis fit and look. Les! You love money so give the fans what they want and profit!
were you mad like a lot of fans were when Tennessee Titans wore the Houston Oiler jersey throwbacks? I wouldn't want the San Diego residents getting upset... I kid. I think it's been long enough to where it would be okay to bring those back.
I haven't seen any teams wear there alt jerseys this year! I posted a thread about this awhile back, thought for sure we wouldve worn them by now lol

I'd support it. Just use the version with "Rockets" on the front. The Big "E" / Riles throwback I complain too much in the uniform threads already - I just don't see why they make uniform decisions so HARD. What are they saving away the uni's for, why the keep-away? Have the team wear it, just call it an homage or throwback to Pat Riley/Elvin Hayes and people would be into it. And if response isnt good, don't do it again. Not much to it really

I agree. & this guy approves Plus it might be an opportunity for a history lesson for the billions of people in the world who have no idea that the Rockets started in San Diego. At least some make and sell some vintage looking San Diego Rockets logo shirts.
They should just make the alternate jerseys their road jerseys from now on. Their white and red jerseys are garbage. If they decide to make the alternate jerseyse their road jerseys then they should make the home jerseys like the alternate, 'cept it would be mostly white but with red and yellow like the throwbacks.
this was kind of a cool shirt I saw on ebay awhile back with the San Diego logo and cartoon logo on it. It says Old School New School around the border. Spoiler This is a jersey I saw on eBay also quite awhile back. It basically is a home version of the alternate but the number font is off and the red isn't as bright. Still, kind of cool to see. It was one of those made in China knock offs. Spoiler I love talking about Rockets apparel
Yes forgot about Rick the Ruler, even HIM. As soon as Adelman joined the Rockets, the connection should have been made with his past ties to the Rockets, and the light clicked on for a commemorative Adelman era jersey night (Heck, even toss in reprints of that card!) People are smart enough to know the Lakers originally started in Minneapolis and had different colors. When they see the occassional light blue Minneapolis uni, it doesnt "clash" with their image of what they think the Lakers are, they don't care. What makes the Rockets SD uni different? Okay this uni thing isnt THAT big deal, I don't really want or NEED to see it happen, its just the thinking behind it. Latley I'm starting to feel like Bill Simmons on the NBA, believing that my common basketball sense beats league front offices' sense and that they keep missing the mark on the obvious.
I think the alt. jersey is just to much "Hulkamania", it wouldn't surprise me if Hulk Hogan wore that jersey.... We should change all our Jerseys to something more old school. Just look att Cavs and Warriors new jerseys theyre classy!!! I also think our current Jerseys has the luck Steve Francis had...
