    Lineup:

    PG: Lowry/Udrih/Smith
    SG: Martin/Lee
    SF: Iguodala/Nocioni
    PF: Scola/Landry
    C: Yao/Miller/Hill

I'd then draft the best PG on the board this summer.

But isn't this the situation they find themselves mired in right now? Too many players who are one dimensional? They don't need both Landry & Hill - they need a player who can provide inside defense AND interior offense on the front line.

I think it was more so that the Rockets realized that Landry was huge fan favorite and knew we, as well as Landry, would enjoy it. I think the Rockets have come to terms with the fact that the McGrady bridge was already burnt, especially with regards to most of the fans.

I really, really liked Landry. Yes, he is somewhat one-dimensional, but he brings a passion, an excitement to the game that is missing. His mid-range jumper was pretty good, but his dunks were glorious, they always seemed to get the team going. I think he misses the Rockets and we miss him. It's a chemistry thing. Scolandry's numbers were beastly.

Why do people want Landry back so bad? I mean yea I loved having him here at the time but acquiring an undersized PF when we already have 3 pretty good PF's including 2 young ones with a much higher ceiling. I'm not concerned with getting back a fan favorite, I want a championship and Carl is not taking the next step there... Unless that Wildcat comes with him

Heck yeah. If all it took was some of our backups and a 2nd rounder to get him back.

    Hill
    2nd rounder /trade exception

    for Landry

As an overall player Landry is better than Chuck Hayes and Jared Jeffries. As far as his current play, some players thrive under certain coaches or schemes. Which is why we are seeing a resurgence in Brad Miller so far this year.

There are some guys who have the heart and character to win a championship, the guys the Rox have had that I think qualify are,
    KLowry
    Scola
    Battier
Brooks (say what you want, he single handedly carried us offensively and won playoff games against the Lakers)

Landry (check how at one point he was one of the tops in the league in 4th quarter scoring with Lebron, Kobe etc.)
    Ron Artest
Ariza (he was very flawed but you have to mention him)
    and yes, a healthy Yao

We don't need him. That's one position where we're set. Bringing him back would be for sentimental reasons ("fan favorite"), and that's not enough of a reason. There are other players worth targeting who are the kind of high-integrity, smart, hardworking players who could be fan favorites (Iggy comes to mind), and who also would fill needs and improve the team. I'd rather see them pursue those players.

I know huh? Then we wouldnt be near the bottom of te league because i wouldnt have given away Ariza for Coutney Lee. We would have drafted Rudy Gay and sent Tmac and Yao out while they had higher trade value. Your good. Thats smart how you caught my talent. ;)

    Um....no.
Trevor Ariza is having an even WORSE year with a top 3 PG in the NBA than he had here (with the worst PG in the NBA Aaron Brooks as some claim him to be). If given Ariza's minutes, Courtney Lee would be producing better statistics. Trevor Ariza is a terrible basketball player and does NOTHING better than Courtney Lee.

Secondly, why would you trade Hill and picks for Landry? It makes no sense on so many levels. 1) Hill is a young talent that happens to be tall and athletic and 2) Landry is a free agent and won't command nearly the money on the FA market than he would have last year before being traded. There is a great chance the Rockets could pick him up the summer WITHOUT giving up any assets.
