KBerg_CBS If Carmelo Anthony doesn't sign extension with #Nuggets by trade deadline, they have all but decided to trade him, sources tell @CBSSports.

KBerg_CBS Sources say #Nuggets believe Anthony prepared to play out season and become a free agent, which organization almost certainly won't allow.

KBerg_CBS Most attractive package to #Nuggets, sources say, remains the Derrick Favors-centered deal on the table from #Nets since September.

KBerg_CBS Question remains: WIll Melo re-sign with New Jersey? Sources say #Nets brass being assured they're "still in it.

This is good news, I think we have a pretty attractive offer if we so decide to get in the mix.

Roy or management's decision, whoever it was, to come back premature from his knee injury to play in the playoffs is looking like the worst decision long term.

Very good point. There is a strong likelihood of that if the Knicks continue to improve.

If Carmelo Anthony really wants to play for the NY Knicks, than he's going to play for the NY Knicks. The Nuggets are losing power with each passing day. All Melo has to say is that he will not sign an extension with the Nets and the Nuggets will be sent reeling. Why would any player want to play in New Jersey? Jordan Farmar would be the starting point guard, and Anthony Morrow and Travis Outlaw would flack the wings. If I was advising Melo, i would tell him to wait it out while gaining more leverage everday.

No, I think you misinterpreted it. The best offer for Melo was Favors.

Roy was a completely different subject. They were saying that Portland will trade the old and keep the young and rebuild because they're two stars are basically too injury prone. Also that Roy probably can't be traded cause the contracts too big for a guy with no meniscus.

If Melo is all about winning, which we can't be too sure, he would know that the Nets would have one of the worse supporting cast after that trade.

I know it's implied in the article that the Nets aren't stupid enough to make that sort of deal without an extension, but can you imagine if the do and then he walks? That would be a harder blow then Lebron's, although it wouldn't be a backstabbing one.

At this point, can anyone blame Melo for wanting to play with the Knicks? Crazy to say but the Knicks are actually looking like they can win. If the Knicks land Iguodala through trade and then Melo this summer, look out!

I could see that scenario working out better than landing L. James. Much less ego, chemistry should be good and they would have virtually no holes. The Knicks luck may be changing for the better.

Oden and Roy might be traded. I can invision both of them being moved together. Rockets were after Roy in that draft, but selected Gay for Memphis.

No we were going to select him that night, but Roy was taken 6th and we had the 8th pick. We didn't make the deal for battier until after we couldn't get roy.

Right, by trading deadline, favors will be in the unfavorable list.

If Roy does get traded I hope he ends up in Phoenix. That might be the best way to save his career at this point.
