Electronic Pickpocketing of Credit Card info? SERIOUSLY? Dang. Talk about "When this falls in the wrong hands" type of techonology... although I don't have one of these RF ID cards... But... for the lawyers out there... how can a consumer be guarded against this by saying "I didn't charge my card... someone else did!" if they use my number online? Here's a good defense: http://www.thinkgeek.com/gadgets/security/8cdd/ The DIFRwearR RFID Blocking Wallet is a high-quality leather billfold with a built in Faraday cage to block RFID transmissions. It has room for six credit cards, your cash, business cards and your ID. Don't get caught unprotected.
I have a stainless steel lined wallet that protects against this. It's super thin and looks really snazzy, very durable as well.
They are taking info now when u hand ur CC to the waiter...they go in the back, pull the little thingy out of their pocket, run ur card so all ur info is theirs....charge ur for dinner and walaa....
Ya, I heard about it a few days ago. I knew to look at the card slots on ATM's etc. My dad forwarded me an email about the chip readers.

http://www.stewartstand.com/ Best 70 bucks I ever spent. Also, when my last wallet started to get worn out (I had an old model that didn't have the neat flexible spine they have now), I wrote an email to the owner and he sent me a replacement within a week, and was super nice about the whole thing.
I want one of these. Is the Driving Wallet the one you have? It looks like one I might like, but where in it do you keep your cash? Just folded in the middle?
