this is such a bad post. the heat are incorporating 3 players who have been the #1 options their whole careers and they are facing a ton of scrutiny. it's obviously going to take some time for them to find their rhythm and things like that.

for a team that people think will SUCK, they're supposed to do well early on b/c teams will take them lightly (look at us last year, and then how we finish). so for them to start 7-10, that's actually great. i predict they'll do even worse to finish out the year b/c their schedule will be much harder from here on out. they had one of the easiest schedules to start the year.

they will NOT win more than 25-30 games this year.

    http://espn.go.com/nba/stats/rpi/_/sort/SOS

The average winning percentage of Cleveland's opponents is 0.494, #17/30 teams.

    http://www.usatoday.com/sports/sagarin/nba1011.htm

Sagarin ranks their schedule difficulty as #18/30 teams, and predicts the Cavs to finish in the bottom 6.

All signs point to the Cavs finishing around 25 wins, which is about what you'd expect with from team with no great players and not that many good ones.

Their CAVs schedule was not hard. The average record of the teams that they have played is 0.498. It's smack dab in the middle.

Just because somebody says the Cavs suck, it doesn't make them an LJ nut hutter. The Cavs really do suck.

Any team that lets the Timberwolves put a 39 pt lead with 2:47 min left in the 4th is a crappy lottery bound team. How the hell does any team let a celler dweller like the t-pups score on over 60% of their shots and over 70% on 3pters? That's just nuts.

Is this really surprising? Didn't they have the best record in the league last year? There was talent on that team besides Lebron. They built a pretty good team around him. One player is still just one player, even if it's Lebron.

The starting line up only scored 34 pts for the whole game. Kevin Love scored almost as much as the Cav's starting lineup.

Yet another blowout loss by the Cavs last night. They're really starting to look like the horrible team that most people thought they were going to be. Over their last 10 games, they're being outscored by an average of 15 points per game!

So where are the people that were saying these guys can finally shine because LeBron isn't taking the spotlight from them?

They will be terrible, they have no go-to options offensively and no interior presence on either end

    They're leading scorers

Mo Williams 14.7 Basically a jump shooter, would be bench offense on good team

Daniel Gibson 13.3 A jump shooter, averaged 7.0 PPG last 2 years

Antawn Jamison 12.4 Already 34, and aging quickly

J.J. Hickson 11.6 Jordan Hill with less blocks and rebounds

Ramon Sessions 10.7 A good bench player, nothing more

Anderson Varejao 8.1 Effort guy, with no offensive skill

Other than Mo Williams, they don't have anybody that would start for a decent team, and even he's better suited off the bench. They got by on emotion early, but i'll be surprised if they crack 25 wins.

Well, the name "Kobe" hasn't been typed yet, so this thread probably isn't on goodbug's radar. He was the one most frequently claiming that Lebron made his teammates so much worse.

they might win some games at the end of the year when teams don't care for them anymore. this team is absolutely terrible.

i don't know how anyone can say the supporting cast around lebron was great. lebron basically makes them freakin' 35-40 wins better than they actually are. any other superstar probably gives them max 20 more wins at this current rate at most.

i agree with you the max they will win is 25. hell, they might not win 20. teams are now not taking them lightly anymore as they did earlier in the season (see the boston win)

i don't get it. mo williamns and antwan jamison are all-stars. surely they should have been good enough to make them a decent team.

Antawn's best days are behind him. He's an old player and the all star stuff is overated.

Mo Williams is one dimensional and on a`contending team would be coming off the bench.

Yes, LeBron had this lottery bound sack-o-losers into contenders by himself.

Mo Williams is one dimensional and can't even bring that one dimension when the games become important. He would have been a backup on any contending team that didn't have Lebron as its best player.
