Lowry works better in the 2nd unit because he gives that unit it's spark.

Problem is Lowry has been providing that spark as a starter too.

Then you have that KM + AB combo........if only one of them played average to good D.

Start AB and Lee and come off the bench with Lowry and Martin

AB has more chemistry with Scola than Lowry does and Martin plays well with Miller

    AB/Lowry
    Lee/Martin
    Battier/Chase
    Scola/Hill
    Yao(Hayes)/Miller

If Yao is healthy and playing - Lowry should start

If Yao is still our for extended period of time - Brooks should start

Assuming that Yao comes back healthy and ready to go, Lowry should start. I think its important for us to gain back that defensive identity and set the tone that way early in the game.

At the start of the season, i was all for Brooks being the starter, but.. the fact is that Lowry is a true point guard and doesnt need to score. He's better at being the floor general who can get Scola, Yao and Martin easy shots.

Brooks is a true scorer and needs the ball in his hands to be effective. Tonight was a great example of not having a go to scorer who can create for themselves when the bench came in.

Just cuz Lowry should start doesnt necessarily mean that Brooks' minutes will be cut in half. I think Brooks would fit the "Jason Terry" role very well!

1st unit: Yao, Scola, Battier, Martin, Lowry
2nd unit: Miller, Hill, Budinger, Lee, Brooks

Sure if you want you 15 million man coming off the bench.

Hell our 2nd unit may even be better (but CBud sucks)

Well you can't really have AB, Yao, Scola and Martin starting, however they can finish the game together so I don't see what all the fuss is about.

Lowry starts with Yao, Scola and Martin, gets them shots, plays D and scores when he has to, when the 2nd unit comes in it becomes all motion with AB being the go to guy, finish with AB, Scola Yao and Martin.

I just cannot see what all the big fuss is and why AB lovers insists on having AB start with 3 other scorers.

I rather see AB come off the bench, cause our 2nd unit's inability to score.
AB still plays 30+min a game, sharing the floor with Lowry.
Chuck will eventually be replaced by Yao so I dont see any lack of offense with our starters of Yao/Scola/Martin. But our 2nd unit could use AB desperately to carry the offense.
If AB is to start, then I rather see Yao off the bench with Lowry so our 2nd unit still got a goto guy on offense.

According to the lopsided poll...... but it's possible all of them are fan votes.

Hopefully we don't start losing again when Brooks comes back.

This is funny to me. It seems as if you are the one who has already made up his mind. He works better with the second unit? Have you not watched any games since he became the starter?

He made the second unit better, I agree. He also made the first unit better. In other words, he just makes guys better. Period.

(I still want to see how he works with Yao -- that will be the final hurdle.)

Or flip our first and second unit AB Lee and Battier play better with Yao (inside-out offense) and Lowry Martin and Bud play better with Miller (read and react offense)

I think AB is better suited to play with Yao. So if Yao starts then start AB, otherwise I like the chemistry Lowry has going with the current starting lineup.

I think Lowry. This is why. Lowry can immediately guard every PG in this league when he is starting and Brooks can be the off the bench scoring we need. The only problem is Brooks might not accept that role and he might want to be shipped out becaus he definately isnt resigning here if that happens. I hope Morey is smart enough to figure that out on the trading deadline.

Great comparison. Bring him off the bench and give him the green light.

Brooks is a undersized shooting guard, not point guard, he should come off the bench.

Lowry averaging 11.8 ppg, 8apg, 2.4 spg, and 1.2 made 3s per game as a starter. Pretty decent.

Really? I saw several times, Brooks asked Yao to get out of his way!
