That's true if that guard is a spot up shoot or can pump fake and drive..

I watched the game, Tmac did neither when getting the ball. He held the ball for like 5 seconds, scanned the floor, the defender got in his face, so he passed it back to the point. On play, he did try to drive right, but took one dribble turned around, realized he's too far from the basket to shoot a fadaway, passed it back to the point

I watch every single game to see hoping for Tmac to do well again, but every single game i'm disappointed because he fricken does NOTHING....like literally nothing

That's true. He had one open look for 3 in the 2nd and he passed it out of course. Why? Because he can't shoot his 3s to save his life.

So your theory collapses there. He was completly a non factor yesterday.

Incredible, when it seems like he is getting better he has a ridiculous game like this.

Yeah, sure, the offense should run through him...

tmac definitely took a step back last night with his lack of aggressiveness or whatever. he can't have games like this if he wants to show he still has it. we'll see if it's a trend of just a bleep.

some will argue he hasn't taken a step forward in the last three years, so how did he step back?

    why is this thread alive?

Tmac is done. There is some sleepy looking fellow by the name of Tracy McGrady that pretends to play, but its not Tmac.

He is getting better, looking pretty healthly. But just look at his stats.

Tracy McGrady - 3,8 ppg. It is ridiculous. Stats don't lie. We can say all this, but the reality is, he SUCKS and looks to be done. He's had his moments, but his play is horrible. That's the reality.

A guy is a carrer 22 ppg scorer and he comes back after surgery and averages around 9. Season after that, when he is supposed to be healthly, he is putting up 3,8. That's not really better at all.

mAYBE he has NOTHING in the tank.

This is maybe a crucial game for him. If he shows no effort (not about good stats or monster game, it is about playing with Heart), Clutch may lock this thread down for a couple of month'

TMac is not a great spot up shooter. He doesn't shoot the wide open trey at high percentage with quick release. James Jones and Eddie House are much better at that and they are getting minimum salary. TMac's future doesn't look very bright.

McGrady is still better than Jones, House unless you're looking for a shooter (and the Heat needs shooters).

And McGrady earns a minimum as well.

Let's see, he's not a shooter, he's not a defender, he doesn't do those dirty work and hustle plays. No team is gonna use him as the center piece to make plays, not Pistons the only team in the league willing to sign him. So how is he better?

lets see, he is a defender ask anyone that has watched the pistons this year they will tell you they are suprised with the defense hes been playing. Tmac does what the team wants needs him to do and thats be a play-maker the pistons have a bunch of shooters and scorers and thats why he is playing backup point guard to make plays theres just not enough shots for him duh

well. when played with Artest and Yao and had a lot of spot up opportunities, he had something around 40% in threes before MFS.

He's not Lights Out. But he can do it. Not know. But in a couple of month' he will shoot much more from beyond the arc and his percentage'll increase dramatically.

He has never shot 40% beyond the arc. He is a career 34% shooter from there. He gets streaky from there when he was healthy.

He isn't a good spot up shooter. He even says it himself that it is not his game. He is much better moving with the ball and creating plays.

tmac can score double digits easily if he jacks up enough shots. you can see he can take his guy but he's not looking to score
