He has that ability, I don't write him off because he has had a bad start, the entire team has had a bad start. Seems like a lot of celebrating because one of the Rockets is struggling.....you guys sure you are Rocket fans? DD
He is not a better shooter than Martin. He is also not on par with Griffin, Evans nor Curry. It's understandable if JLOBABYDADDY is upset over the fact that you call him out for being ridiculous when what you say is even more ridiculous. Just my .02 cent as to why he's upset.
I've been to 3 Rockets games this season..all in a losing effort..how about you? Anyways, no one roots against our players. I know I don't. The guy has lost his touch and I'm not convinced any longer that he had the touch to begin with. It's time for him to ride the pine.
Teams aren't even covering Chase much anymore. There's just no need. Bad defensive teams like Phoenix and Memphis are giving him enough time to open up a newspaper and he's still bricking. If he doesn't start hitting those wide open shots he needs to be benched. Enough is enough.
That time has already came and gone. Look at his game logs since his return from injury: 0-6 1-5 4-10 2-7 1-4 6-15 3-7 3-8 0-6 = 20/68 --> 29%
Dude you didn't even say he peaked. You said he was playing at 90% of his full potential in his rookie year and then you went on to call him another Brent Barry as if he was chopped liver. If he was Brent Barry then this team would be set at the 3.
I didn't mean you literally called me bad names. Just a sarcastic way of saying you dismissed my assumption as not worthy of conversation. It's all good though. I still like Chase. I think he is a better player than he is playing now. i think we can agree on that.
That's simply not true. Opposing teams are still defending him like he's an offensive threat. And that's why he still has some value on the court even when he's missing.
There is no doubt that he can shoot. He will be 45-40 when it is all said and done. The problem is that, frankly, I was hoping for more, with all that jumping ability. More rebounds, more blocks, more steals, more drives to the rim, more freethrows. He is making me wish we had Landry Fields, who helps in several more areas than just shooting. I am praying that he is more of a complete basketball player than we have seen so far. I am praying that I was wrong, and that he has really NOT tapped out on his potential. Zona fans have been saying it for years now...
well if he is gonna get to 45% FG% and 40% 3p% then he will have to shoot about 50% from the field and 50% from 3 point land the rest of the season. I can't see that happening.
Chase has never shot over 40%, even from the college 3. Don't know what some of you are expecting. His stroke isn't as good as Novak's, not close. Comparisons to Korver??? While Bullard and Mobley had slower strokes, they were repeatable and deadly when they got their feet under them. Maybe Chase needs to slow down his stroke. He is closer to Ariza in most everything he does on offense. To me, that's the best Rocket's comparison I can come up with.
At this point I want Taylor to get minutes over Chase. When Brooks come back there will only be room for Chase or Taylor. I want to see what we have in JT.
well technically he didn't, but i'd call 39.9% his senior season close enough ...but seriously, as a non-ginger white male, i am a bit disappointed in chase. nbadraft.net said he was supposed to be like brent barry (i think DD may have suggested this too ) and quite frankly he isn't living up to his billing as the next larry bird (light haired and white) or even brent barry (white). maybe we should look at hair color and not just skin color when we are trying to judge nba talent? honestly, who was the last good ginger in the nba? brian scalabrine? todd mccullough? bill walton? i guess those last 2 are centers so maybe chase can become the next brian scalabrine. and maybe carl herrera can chime in on how he feels about bud's stroke? carl herrera do you think chase should stroke it slower? finally, lol @ tradeable assets.
