I have no problems sleeping and usually sleep on my back. The only time I may have trouble sleeping, is if it is insanely hot. Other than that, it only takes me no more than ten minutes to be out cold.

I do  ... I'm not an insomniac, for the record, it's just hard for me to fall asleep in a way that I otherwise wouldn't. If that makes sense in this threads context.

I usually fall asleep with a book, or watching Stewart or Colbert. I tend to go to sleep early because I like to wake up early.

Once I fall asleep, I don't wake up until at least 8 hours later. Nothing can keep me from my slumber...I've slept through screaming babies, a train outside my window, and a tornado while in a flimsy camper-trailer.

It's pretty awesome. I love my sleeping habits. It's simply the most important part of my life. My 8 hours keep me sane. You should definitely get enough sleep.

    You're not alone.

I take Klonopin for sleep at bed time, yet, I can take a nap on my couch with the tv on around 6:30 pm after a sluggish day at work.

I listen to music from Joanna Newsom, Sun Kil Moon or Benoit Pioulard. I have my computer on automatic shutdown after 30 minutes. So that is when the music shuts off and hopefully I'm asleep by then.

I get prescribed Ambien and it works about 75% of the time. The problem is that the times it doesn't knock me out, it turns me into a complete wack job. I have written down some amazing off the wall nonsense while taking it, which I keep on the fridge for a good laugh. For that reason I try not to take it too often. I'm sure some others in this thread have some hilarious Ambien stories as well.

I have never taken that but the wife had to take it once (can't remember what the reason was for) and the first night she took it, she wound up throwing up. So that was that.

I need some light in the room, sometimes I leave the light on so I can sleep, not because am afraid of the dark or something  I used to do this when I was a kid and it just got stuck with me.
