Are you seriously suggesting STEVE NASH, of all people, is someone who just was made to play the game and doesn't work hard enough? Jesus, you clearly have no clue what you're talking about, and as we don't know when they're partying and when they're not, you can frankfully make up all the junk you want on this topic and get away with it. This is ridiculous.

At best you're suggesting that NBA players get paid too much, which I frankly think is stupid and is a dead horse anyways. At worst, you're honestly suggesting our team is lazy. And this team is not lazy. They may lack talent to some degree, but we know they aren't lazy. Period.

NBA players don't usually start their work day at 6am like many of us do. Players can stay out late at night and still get 8 or 9 hours of sleep. It's not like they are trying to play games on 2 or 3 hours of sleep. I don't care how our players spend their time away from their jobs, and you shouldn't either.

no obviously steve nash is a product of pure hard work. you can tell this because you compare his athleticism to his success.

As again stated multiple times, i believe our team has some issues which leads to our current record. and im simply questioning wether that problem is DISTRACTIONS and could this be ONE of them. you are taking it to the extreme. i dont appreciate that. thanks.

10:00pm – After talking with the media and signing some autographs for fans waiting in the tunnel, Matt meets with his family. Matt and Gloria pack the boys up and hit the road. On the way home, they give the babies their bottles and by the time the family arrives home, the boys are asleep. This is normally when players go out to eat but on most nights, but the family just wants to get home. "It's a lot different once you have a family, priorities change. All going out stops and dates stop. We have one or two date nights a week but it's different. We can't usually go out to eat after games if the boys are with us because they're ready for bed," says Barnes.

2:30am - After relaxing, Matt goes to sleep. In less than six hours, he'll wake up and do it all again

Even if they don't go out it doesn't mean theyre going to bed early.....and they can always drink at home as well...basically you gotta trust that they know how to use their 24 hrs. Sometimes that means sleeping 8 hrs straight or sleeping 6 and napping for 2 later.

NBA probably has the roughest travel schedule of the 3 major sports. I really don't think they get all that much down time and hence tend to try and make good use of it when they do. Football players have more of a 9-5 type life. Baseball players travel, but they play every night (thus why they aren't at the bar) and play the same team 3 days in a row.

So they are grown men, yet they should be told that they are not trusted enough to act responsibly when they are out for a night on the town?

They aren't allowed a beer or two after a hard fought game?

They should hire a nanny rather than fully participate in the raising of their children?

You refer to an athlete's wife (and mother of their child) as a 'baby momma'?Do you realize how insulting that is to the players who are good fathers?

Is that you Les? We don't actually pay them at all. You pay to watch them, but they in no way owe us (the fans) anything. If ownership or management has a problem with their partying then they will deal with it.

this is completely false. Without fans showing up to games and the owners generating profits from merchandise, and tickets, and food, and sponsorships(some of course are fans of the rockets)... the players wouldn't get any thing besides a friendly "thank you" or "hello" from owners.... period.

I think the word you're looking for is socializing, not celebrating. They have lives too you know.

This is the worst thread of the year.

Summary- some people party more than others.Sometimes it affects their work, other times when say steve nash torches us.. well then it doesn't.

They can do what they want off the court, as long as they come to play on game day focused and motivated I am satisfied.

I think it's a waste of time analyzing what they do off the court

By that logic, I'm helping pay Emma Watson when I go see the Harry Potter movies... I guess she owes me a date.

They dont owe us anything outside of their job, but we do pay a lot of their salary. We hope they give their best effort, if they dont, then it's up to fans to realize if theyre still deserving of the money. For the most part, fans will keep coming back and buying gear, so we're saying that they are.

This whole thread is a fail. The players are grown ass men, they know how to balance partying and playing. Just because they're losing right now doesn't mean they have to cry themselves to sleep every night, hell if you ask me most of the losses are because of Rick Adelman's horrible in-game coaching in the first place.

More importantly its not as if Scola is out there getting wasted every night. There's no reason why you can't just go to a bar after games/practice, get a few drinks and then leave after a couple of hours. Unless you really can't hold your alchohol, those 2-3 botttles you drank will have zero effect the next day.

LOL technically you are. The studio is the one paying Emma Watson's salary but the studio earns its money from ticket sales from movie goers...i.e. you.

Of course you're just one of Emma Watson's millions upon millions of paying customers so if you account how much you actually paid her it will probably be less 1/10000000000000 of a cent.
