I'm Zaki Ahmed, hey are you the dude that owes me $? If so pay up or the consequences will never be the same!
Would MJ be MJ if he didn't work as hard as he did? Would Kobe be Kobe if he didn't work as hard as he did? Would Ray Allen be Ray Allen if he didn't.... Working harder and better pays off. You will have to sacrifice a lot of things, but that's what the best of the best do. Theoretically, if our players spend 8 hours a day practicing basketball and spend the rest having fun, that's all good. I'm happy for them, but if the opposing teams are putting extra hours in willing to sacrifice their free time to become better than average NBA players....well then I guess we gotta put up with being mediocre.
Do u have a job where u have any sort of responsibilities to your boss and coworkers??? If so, what are you doing at these places?
Yes, make them shoot basketballs and run sprints 24 hours a day. This will make them better, we need to eliminate socializing with other people as much as possible in their lives.
MJ was notorious for late night rabble rousing. Most players make the biggest improvements in their game with their off-season regiments. This what made Mo Malone and The Dream great. This thread is stupid.
So players that get paid relatively low have the right to socialize during the regular season at night clubs, but at what level of salary do you draw the line that says they have to stay home? Brooks can go get loaded, but Lowry can't? Not fair.
lol @ all the people who think im trying to say they need to dedicate 24 hours a day. im just saying there are problems on this team and COULD this be one of them? the people being sarcastic would have to say no. but some people who care for good discussion have agreed or disagreed and backed up with reason. thank you to those of you. and no im not saying it has to do with how much they get paid but rather that EVERY player in the league gets paid more then enough to sacrifice certain things for the better of the team. even a minimum rookie contract!
Wade's ex went as far as to say that Wade does drugs. Maybe the Miami scene finally caught up to him? I've searched online and it seems like Bron doesn't drink in public. Here's an example: http://theybf.com/2009/04/03/exclusive-lebron-james-wont-blame-it-alcohol From what I've found, Kobe does drink in the regular season. LOL - I remember Artest saying that he would drink at halftime while he was with Chicago. Super lame reference
Agreed! but why are you out at these clubs? You should be at home working on ways to progress your career!!!
Players don't get as involved in wins and losses as fans do. Sad but true. Doesn't mean they aren't trying to win, it just mean they don't take it as hard when they lose as most of their fans do. All players, all sports.
They like to have their cake and eat it too. When we start seeing our players get **** faced before a game, then we can panic and make this thread. For now as long as they are enjoying themselves knowing their limits as Professional Athletes, I am ok with it, they are human like you and I, they deserve to have fun. As long as it's Work before play.
Just cus a mans clubbing dont mean hes celebrating, grown men (yes even professional athletes ) are allowed to have a social life, except lowry maybe cus he stays home and cods it up
If you can party before a game and still play at a high level, then all for it, otherwise you are just hurting the team.
i think a lot of people are assuming that they go out to a club just to drink. Or that they have to drink if they're at a club. Not always the case....sometimes they go because they're paid to make an appearance or just to hang out with friends. Sure, sometimes some of them may drink, but let's not assume that they will always drink at a club and drink enough to be drunk or have a hang over. Sometimes a drink or two is actually beneficial to their health and/or won't have much of an effect on them, especially when they're 6'8.
