Wifey and I were at 'Sullivans' last night, a steakhouse in the Galleria area and low and behold who walks in... He was looking rather Pimplike sporting slacks and a nice shirt, but what bothered me is that he was looking around as if nothing had happened. I wanted to go up to that no dribbling, shot missing, playoff game blowing, overpaid ingrate and boink him on the head! Instead I finished my porterhouse, laughed with our waiter and went home.
AB, How many chins does he have NOW? He was up to about three last time I saw him in uniform. Steaks are probably not helping him out in that sense.
really?? I always liked matt maloney...for all the criticism he took, in his first full season with the rockets he was the starting PG on a team that was a game away from the NBA Finals. not bad...but since we had all stars at every other position taking up a huge chunk of change, we couldn't have an all-star PG.
LOL. My woman also finds that perfect comment to promote heartburn somehow. Anyone know if Maloney tried one of the other professional leagues? I can see the guy making for one bad-ass insurance salesman. Not knocking the profession -- I bet he'd be good. Has that earnest, convincing sort of look. I mean if he could convince Rudy that he could ball, he could probably convince me that my house in SF needs glacier insurance.
The last time I saw that guy(off TV) was at Bronx Bar, which he own(ed)s. I had just seen him at The Martini Bar about an hour before I saw him again at Bronx Bar. He had a nice looking blonde on his arm and he was plastered.
Matt Maloney related things that I'd like to know: 1) Is he still getting paid by the Rockets? 2) Is he still getting paid by the Hawks? 3) Why do all the ladies want him? 4) Does he still live in Greatwood? 5) If he showed up at Westside during the summer, would he be allowed to ball on the big boy courts?
Kim, 1. Yes 2. No 3. Reread #1 4. Not sure on that one. 5. Only courts he is allowed on at Westside .... are the clay ones. Hope this helps!
I didn't know he owned Bronx Bar. I've seen him there before also. At the time I didn't realize the Rockets were still paying for that contract they gave him. Had I known that when I saw him, I would have attempted a cheap shot. Hey, it would have been worth a day or two in county jail. Life is about the accumulation of stories, and that would have been a good one. Remind me to never step foot in the Bronx Bar again.
I know for a fact that Matt Maloney don't own the Bronx Bar... My wife use to date the owner for a couple of years before we were married.
By the way the owner of the Bronx Bar is a Persian guy by the name of Shine or something like that. I met him before and he hooked up me and my friends with free drinks. Maloney is frequently in there because a friend of his is good friends with the owner.
Add Kelvin Cato, Dan Langhi, Mirsad Turkan, Jason Collier, TMo and Roderick Rhodes to this list as well.
I thought that the Bronx was owned by a fella who was a couple of years behind me in law school. I think he also owns Slainte downtown.
Yeah, I heard he owns Slainte and also R & R. I've met this guy serveral times but I never asked if he in fact owns it or not. This is what I was told. However, he is always there and has a lot of pull. Maybe the manager? Don't konw for sure.
