http://www.nytimes.com/2010/12/06/sports/basketball/06knicks.html?_r=3&ref=basketball How about a starting point guard?
Starting PG? I dont see why they would need a starting PG. Raymond Felton's been having the best season of his career - career highs in all categories except 3pt%.
I think that he meant trading Aaron Brooks. Of course, I don't know who we'd want from the Knicks. Many would say Anthony Randolph, but I'm not totally sure.
Brooks and Taylor for Walker, Randolph and the Knicks 2011 pick non-lottery protected. Walsh should be willing to give up that pick swap and let us have the pick since they are going to the playoffs now.
Can't trade consecutive first rounders and we have their 2012 pick. Also, Randolph is terrible this year. Not sure if it is a case similar to Jordan Hill because he is only getting about 10mpg.
Don't believe it. They have Toney Douglas, why would they want to trade him or knock him down the depth chart?
They need a backup C. Timofey Mozgev looked decent in flashes of the preseason but has been a total non-entity with the lights on thus far.
you can trade your first round pick every year. you just cant trade consecutive 1st round picks in the same trade.
AB for TE. Rockets get under LT and do not need to worry about AB's next contract and the discussion who is the starting PG, Lowry or AB.
WTF!! Morey would be a damn fool to entertain such nonesense......we dont need anything from the knicks ,nor do they have much to give. They still want cap space and brooks would walk after the season anyways.......Why are we talking about this again
Ooooo, Let's see how DM will once again screw up the Knicks if Houston is included in a deal. Maybe... Ish and Taylor for Gallinari, Mozgov and like 4-first round picks for the next few years if we haven't already taken them
I say Ish for the 2011 first round pick Guarenteed... Anyone know if that is even possible since we already own the pick swap???
No love for ish? he's probably our best passing point guard on the team, and i love how he pushes the pace even more so then lowry. On the other hand I would be interest in Fields, he is a rookie that is playing great and showing alot of upside. If I were the knicks i wouldnt touch him but maybe DM will make some magic? Hopefully he will continue to improve next year and not struggle like Chase has been in his second year.
You can trade your first round pick every year, but you can't trade future first round picks in consecutive years, even in separate trades. So the Knicks cannot trade their 2011 pick until after they've used it since they have already traded away their 2012 pick. http://members.cox.net/lmcoon/salarycap.htm#Q74
Thats the point... Ish is too good to play third string... If the Rockets plan on making a move to ship out AB or Lowry in the new year then I feel pretty solid with Ish as the backup for many years but he has some value now for the Rockets and will want to get more steady minutes after AB gets back in the rotation.
