Seriously...if they were to do this, all bets are off in my book. If someone blows up an elementary school, I honestly could care less about mitigating the measure of our response...

And, yes, I realize this is just a report...nothing confirmed...I'm just saying IF...

    Schools threatened Top Stories
U.S. intelligence agencies received reports this week indicating Islamic terrorists have targeted American schools for attack, intelligence officials said.
The reports indicate that the targeting includes plans to attack all levels of educational institutions in the United States, ranging from elementary schools to colleges and universities, said officials familiar with the reports.
The information on schools as terrorist targets is among the scores of threat reports received by U.S. intelligence agencies every day. Some officials questioned the veracity of the report but said U.S. intelligence agencies have to weigh all the reports carefully.

    mitigating our measure of response???

Not sure what that means but it sounds like if they kill a bunch of our children then you would have no problem with us going to git'em. That's quite a set you got there buddy... not

Agreed. You can see why the Israelis and Palestinians are so completely angry at one another, as both sides have lost women and children in barbaric ways. (not trying to start that back-n-forth, folks! they've both lost a lot, regardless of who you think is more at fault).

Wouldn't it be better if the true Dark Lord Melkor sent his minion, Sauron, to take care of them?

Or maybe the Elves, who were once powerful enough to kill barlogs singlehandedly, could rectify the situation.

    Just a thought.

I have to agree with you MadMax.

If someone hurt/killed my son, there is no limits to what I would do to them. I would lose all restraint. I would go crazy.

i do not think we should target schools or children if they do so...hope i didn't give that impression...but i think a massive retaliation would be well in order. i'd like to think i'm a better person than that...but honestly, i'm not. blow up a school full of kids and you get what's coming to you...

And I was implying a massive retaliation was already in order, fair enough.

If they blow up an elementary school then I could think of an easy way to reduce our nuclear weapons stockpile.

I hope that even these guys are not that crazy, but if they did attack elementary schools, the Middle East would be a parking lot in about t-minus 5 minutes.

Hmmm...I wonder why this - among the "scores" of "threats," despite being questionable in its "veracity" is the only one to make the news.

Haha, aren't excessive quotes annoying? Is that some kind of record for most in a sentence.

I happen to know for a fact that Mrs. JB does not value reading and writing...that is why she majored in journalism.
