San Antonio puttin up their A-Game, 64-34 with over 5mins left in 2nd quarter. Spurs 9-11 from beyond the arc, Bonner 5-5.
Think Spurs gonna be a real threat to LA this year.

    CP3 with 9pt, 8ast, 2reb, 2stl already, Hornets would be lottery-team without him.

The only person that can save them now is Trevor Ariza! ;)

I said before they started losing the Hornets weren't so good and that reality would set in. I guess by now everyone agrees. Each season there are "fools gold" teams that get off to great starts. This year the Hornets fit the bill. Their roster just isn't that talented.

It looks like they are going to be a lottery team with him as well.

Hornets are hurting after Peja left. He was a choker in the end game situations but his outside shooting during the first 3 quarters helped Hornets and Paul space the floor. Paul needs to pick up his scoring and they need outside shooters.

I dont know all the specifics but it seems like that trade hurt more than it helped.

Think that trade was made to clear cap, think they tryin to get a star to make CP3 happy.

Peja's contract was going to expire after this season. Seems like they made the trade because they really wanted Jarrett Jack backing up CP3.

Yea but they tryin to aquire a star within this season, therefore they cleared space by moving Peja.

They moved out about $16.5 million and took in about $12.5 million. The move got them under the luxury tax threshold. They are still way over the cap so they can't just add a star player's salary. If anything, this prevented them from trading for a star because they gave up Peja's large expiring contract.
