i noticed that too....and i couldnt tell if he was ranting and raving for us to foul or if he was mad at the refs for not calling it when we did
At the same time Rose wasn't destroying Lowry, Lowry made him work for his shot on several occasions. Also Bogans or Korver were the guys Martin guarded when in the game, those two guys did not kill us tonight. Martin's defense was not that horrible tonight to the point where he can't get in the game to make a couple of FTs. He had a good game actually and was a BIG reason the Rockets came back.
Agree, even with the loss, it appears they have turned some type of corner. At this point, with the upcoming schedule, they have a real opportunity to get themselves right back in the middle of the West playoff race.
so many problems. Scola absolutely killed us late in the game. Yeah he made two baskets but he gave up rebounds(like the Boozer tip in), had multiple stupid fouls (one caused an and-one), and was not that good on pick and roll D. I do blame Adelman for leaving him in their when he played so badly. Another situation was the play they got the shot clock. They started the play with like 8 seconds left. Why? Then there is the Rose three. Part of the blame on Adelman but most on players. Even if Adelman didnt call for a foul wtf was Brad Miller thinking. Watch that replay again and watch him play against the pick. He was all over Noah as if he was expecting a pick and roll. He even over played it and was on Noah's left side when Rose was going right. WTF was he thinking!!!! Was their a timeout after the freethrows. If their was than why was brad miller in the game? That would be another huge mistake by Adelman. I have never liked Adelman's play calling skills with the game on the line. This is not the first time this happened. He is just as bad if not worse than JVG. Than again JVG had Yao and McGrady so just asking for an iso is alot easier to call. So many problems late in the game that are just stupid. Yeah having a superstar would have helped them but if role players cant get it the fundamentals down(both Adelman and players faults), than it doesnt matter.
The Rockets must go 43-19 to finish with 50 wins, and 50 wins is probably what they will need for the 8th seed.
looks like his palms are facing forward, as in raising you hands to show them to defend a 3pt shot shot, rather than raising his hands in disbelief. But who knows, maybe they'll clear it up tomorrow. And Scola isn't getting enough blame here....i thought it only happened once, but now see boozer moved him twice in the last 24 seconds for layups. gotta have more hunger at that point to go after the rebound. I'm really surprised that it happened twice given Scola's competitiveness....but that's one reason Utah killed us. They went after it, rather than waiting.
I think so too. Also there is not much point arguing what if Martin misses those shots. Well the thing is Lowry shoots 70% and Martin shoots 90% who would rather have on the line in a clutch situation. It's true that Martin could miss those shots but honestly, I don't ever remember Martin being a choker on the line. He's one of those guys like Calderon who is just automatic at the line and whether it's the 1st qtr, 2nd, 3rd...whatever...he will knock em down. With that said even with that mistake RA made another by just not calling a Timeout to get his team straight. IF you want to foul (I don't think he wanted to) you'd think you'd get your team together and tell them a few things. "Don't let them get a 3 no matter what, foul foul and foul."
I think its doable, considering Rockets are only 2.5 games out of 8th place. Which means, we may require less games to make it....however....I do feel with Yao coming back (nobody talking about his minute limitations, if it still exists), our chemistry will take a dive and when AB gets back, another Chemistry issue. Sooooo it doesn't look good.
0 for 6 If just one of those shots goes in. Or surely, somebody else could've taken those 6 shots and made one. I'm not going to say anything else.
I think the only thing to take away from this is that they lost as a team. The blame can be distributed among a few players. They do deserve credit just for getting back in the game, away from home, with Martin being sick, brooks and yao out, and chicago having boozer back...
I hope Bud wasn't playing out of his mind last year and this is the player he truly is. Can someone explain to me this DD jinx /serious question
On a back2back as well. I said earlier in this thread this loss is not a bad loss in the long run. It's just one that pisses you off.
They have shown me enough over the past week to give me some confidence they can make a push. They should have won tonight, or atleast was in prime position, and with wins over LA and OKC...you add a piece or two and 43-19 isn't so far fetched plus it looks like 50 wins isn't the mark this season rather 43-45 wins while 50 might get you the 6th seed.
Just like the Spurs game and a lot of Adelman coached teams' penchant for snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. He is either cursed or just plain, well, to put it kindly, unable to make the right coaching decisions at the end of close games. This has happened to him again and again regardless of the team he has coached.
its kinda like a hitter who bashes homeruns his first few weeks in the bigs...then he cant hit a damn thing....think Eric Anthony...Daryl Ward...guys that we all thought would be better than they are......the league has adjusted to him. He can still shoot...but he's just a very average NBA player
totally agree.....we are 2-3 games out of the 8th seed right now, which is basically on pace to be about 45 wins
I'm looking at the 6th or 5th spots and we are 6 and 6.5 games behind. With an easy December, it's time to makeup some ground and get closer before January.
no doubt....we wont stay this bad....and some of the teams that jumped out quick wont stay that hot....its a loooooooong season boys!
