    Regardless of Auburn's win or loss, I hope the polls punish Auburn for Newton and knock them to 3 or 4.

    And with that win, they'll petition the NCAA to try to get bowl eligible. They have six wins on the season, but two of them came against FCS teams. Technically the rule states that with two FCS games, they had to get to 7 wins.

    With so many bowl games, I wouldn't be surprised to see the NCAA allow them in. I think there are 70 bowl eligible teams even without ASU, but the Sun Devils will save a Pac-10 bowl from having to choose an at-large team from the MAC, WAC, or Sun Belt. Their fans will travel better and it will make for a better game.

    that petition should be denied. or if it's granted and a bowl-eligible team is left out, they should still get the money they would've earned at the game.

    I know alot of people (on this board and beyond) are rooting for Auburn to lose, because of the Cam Newton saga and the desire to see TCU play in the title game.

    I like what Auburn did this year; they've beaten:

    Clemson; South Carolina; Arkansas; LSU; Georgia; and @Alabama, and now South Carolina (again for SEC championship).

    7 quality games against some very good, highly rank teams or teams that are pretty heavily stocked with talent.

    I'm sorry I think they are more deserving than TCU at this point.
