Having a rocky start during Nov-Dec is nothing new for Adelman

This is the first time in awhile where we have seen many changes in Adelman's rotation. When we replaced Gundy in 07, I remember how this board wanted him back during Adelmans first 2 months and those posters soon disappeared when we turned the corner in February and March.

I am not saying, we are going to go on another 22 game winning streak to make the playoffs, but that getting off to bad start is nothing new to Adelman. He needs time to figure out how to make this roster work.

As you can see, we went on a 6 game losing streak during November and I specifically remember Adelman telling the media not to judge him for his team in November, but how his team plays in March-April.

    18 1 December 2007 Rockets 99–107 Kings NA Tracy McGrady (40) 15,081 9–9
    19 5 December 2007 Grizzlies 92–105 Rockets NA Two-way tie (24) 17,723 10–9

    26 20 December 2007 Rockets 111–112 Nuggets 2 Yao Ming (26) 16,157 12–14
    27 22 December 2007 Rockets 116–98 Bulls NA Two-way tie (20) 22,434 13–14
    28 23 December 2007 Rockets 82–94 Pistons NA Luis Scola (18) 22,076 13–15
    29 28 December 2007 Rockets 103–83 Grizzlies NA Two-way tie (22) 15,660 14–15
    30 29 December 2007 Raptors 79–91 Rockets NA Yao Ming (25) 18,103 15–15
    31 31 December 2007 Warriors 112–95 Rockets NA Rafer Alston (22) 18,153 15–16

During December we went 6-8 and still struggled against bad teams. The point I am trying to make, is that it takes time for Hill, Miller, Lee and Yao to adjust to Adelman's system and I have no doubt in my mind that by March we will be playing .500 basketball

anything is possible, even another 22 game win streak and there is a reason why Adelman has over 800 wins and is the 6th most winning coach

That was JVG system. Adelman did well with that system and the personnel fitted well in that system.

Right now, Adelman does not have much of a system. It is a mess.

He needs time to figure out how to get his FIRST roster to work. Not this one. You really think Morey would agree with you...or Coach himself.

What do you think Coach? "Yeah, the main problem with this roster is we are trying to teach and install a whole new system from last year." Can you imagine if he said that!

I would kill to be .500 right now but at 6-12 we are getting buried. Yao/AB need to get back asap or the season is essentially over. Tonight and tomorrow are huge games, we need to split and clean up in December to get to .500 by new years.

It was different then we actually had a veteran team and 2 star players, now we have the opposite young team with role players.

Things are a lot different from back then, one we don't have any remnants of JVGs defense and for a stretch we had a star Yao before he got injured and an MVP caliber T-mac

What he's saying is very clear!

He is saying that Adelman did NOT in fact coach the team the way that he would have liked back then; he coached the team the way Van Gundy wanted it done. Therefore it worked.

Oh wait - I totally agree with you!! huh..?

It was one of the more ridiculous things said on this board in a long time!!!

that is one of the dumbest all time posts, does anyone else really think Adelman coached the team the way JVG wanted, so JVG is the one responsible for us winning 22 games....
