Phil Jackson is an overratted douche who has been fortunate enough to have the best player in the league on his team repeatedly... he is nothing.
Jerry Sloan would never talk trash like that. Seriously...There isn't a team to hate more than the Lakers if you are a Rockets fan. Phil Jackson can go to hell.
I just went back to look at some of those old box scores, and the game 7 vs the sonics in 2003 was unbelievable. The rockets beat the sonics in ever conceivable phase of the game, except offensive rebounding. It was an unreal number (24 to 9) because it had to be otherwise we would have won that game by 20 points. We would have certainly beaten the suns that year!
***** Phil Jackson! The only reason he won all those championships is because he had Jordan with the bulls, and Kobe with the Lakers.
And if Ralph Sampson would have stayed healthy Michael Jordan might only have one or two rings. I think the NBA should have quit playing while Sampson was down. Shut the **** up, Phil.
Give me Jordan and Kobe/Shaq or Kobe/Gasol/etc. I'll win titles too. His legacy is tainted by the fact that he can't win without superstars.
We can say things that are illogical as well. Like the Bulls 93 championship is tainted because they didn't play the best team that matched up against them. We lost a controversial 7th game in OT to Seattle and swept the Bulls in the regular season in 93. They would have lost to the Rockets in 93. In 96 even though the Bulls set the record for regular season wins. We can say the Rockets were never healthy enough all year(which is very true-Drextler, Sam, Hakeem) and never had a fair chance to defend their tittle. Same BS he is saying about the 95 season and Jordan missing games. And in 97 let's just blame the Karl Malone bear hug. Which in today's NBA where they call the slightest of fouls would have been called. So new rule changes like the present NBA, we're in the NBA finals that year.
It's not that great. Most people try and find a way to get under other people's skin without making themselves look like a giant ignorant douche in the process. Phil Jackson wasn't able to do that. Yes he got under people's skin with his comment but at what sacrifice? He ends up looking like an ignorant beeotch.
Even with MJ at full strength and maybe playing the whole year, no way the Bulls would've won another championship at least not in 95. I'm sorry, they were not good enough that season on the front court or on the bench to beat Orlando. Even the Pacers might've beaten them that year. That team Bulls team completely overachieved against the Magic, and the Magic should've almost beaten them in 5 games. Shaq was too much for them. Their backcourt played really well in that series.
what are you talking about? the last 43 seconds of the 98 finals is a perfect example of how it was all phil!
So the 1995 championship is tainted? A Rockets team that was 47-35, 6th seed in the West, beat 4 teams with 50+ wins, was down 3-1 to the Suns in the semifinals, and swept the Magic in the Finals is tainted? COME ON PHIL! I lost respect for him now.
Phil is a joke. I guess he forgot he had Jordan on his "Whole" Bulls Team When they lost to the Magic in 94-95 playoffs even with a Jordan in his prime. Here Are Jordan's stats for the 94-95 playoffs: He avaraged 31 ppg and shot 46% from the field.
