Gay to hit the game winner in Battier's face and the GARM will explode.

 

i think we have a chance to win this if we start jordan hill

 

In before why didn't we keep Rudy Gay talk?

 

We will be Tied with 1 second to go against the grizzlies and Rudy Gay on the Freethrow line for 2, He hits the first then "Accidentally" hits the second. Battier makes the Game winning 3 over Gay.

Rudy Gay has had the history of doing that

 

if we hold any opponent under 90, we will win, book it

 

shut down Rudy Gay-->Win....

 

Man, I have tickets for this game waiting on me but my daughter became pretty ill last night. I am hoping I get to go to it. GO ROCKETS!

 

Hopefully they can ride the momentum of the lakers game, and beat memphis...

Keys to winning this game =

A. Control the glass

- Randolph and Gasol are two able rebounders especially on the offensive side for Randolph. This might be one matchup Chuck Hayes can exploit given that Randolph's rebounding effort typically comes from positioning and craftiness around the rim. Scola might be finding less and less minutes on the floor if he cant find a way to be as effective as Hill on the defensive end.

B. Shut Rudy Gay down early

- This guy is an athletic wing player who is most effective when he works inside/out... meaning if he gets a few easy layups and jumpshots... then gets rolling and can hit any shot anywhere on the floor. Take him out of the game early and make the players like Mike Conley hit shots they normally dont take.

C. Get the offense going with the starters

- The slow starts to our offense is killing the team in the first and third quarters and is too much to ask the bench to make up for the rest of the game. Kevin Martin is due for a breakout game where he drops 40 points easily. If he and the rest of the starters can keep up with the Grizzlies starters, then our bench should have an upperhand on the very slim offensive firepower coming off the bench for the Grizzlies.

My hope is simply that they work they're way back to .500 by the end of the year. Maybe we can get back into the playoff conversation. Or in the very least threaten to make the Knicks pick better than ours.

Interesting Statistics:

"The Rockets are 4-2 when Battier scores 12 or more and 2-10 in other games."

Hope Battier can have another good game. Even in a bad game, Martin eventually will find 20+points. So we need other guys to step up also.

 

They should win...."should" being the key word here....but dont sleep on the Grizz....they have plenty of good young talent.

Rockets recently beat Kevin Durant and Kobe, 2 great playoff teams, now if we lose this game then we have a serious issue in not coming out hard vs teams under .500.

MUST WIN!

 

Expecting a loss, rooting for a win. I am not on the "Hill plays good defense against an injuried Gasol" bandwagon. The guy is too jumpy, gets knocked off the block like David Andersen, and leaves guys wide open on occasion (see Odom's wide open 18-footer). The Griz are an up and coming team that whose top draft picks have yet to grow up, but if they do, watch out.

What we enjoyed against the Lakers was a passive, and possibly injured, Gasol and Shane Battier having the game of his career. I don't expect either to happen tonight. Tonight's a game where Scola needs to prove he's the rebounder people claim, because we know what Z-bo can do.
