Bima pointed out that this would work, but frankly why would we want both Ariza and Lee? The Rockets are already suffering from being overcrowded enough as it is right now, keeping someone like Ariza who would definitely demand big minutes would make it even worse.

of course hes saying that type of thing,we r 6-12!!!... MOREY: "oh yea we r in it 4 the long term" but i bet if we were 11-6 he'll be all like...."yea this is all going according to plan we might need minor tweaks here n there but we should be able to compete with the guys we have now" lol ive been waiting 4 years....this a helluva long term plan!!!!

I think he said last year or over the summer that they wanted to go "all-in" this year. That was before we missed out on Chris Bosh.

When he says the Rockets always think long-term, I don't think that means that every move is only considering what will happen many years down the road. Battier doesn't fit into that, as an obvious example. What it means is the Rockets don't make short-term deals without considering the long-term ramifications. Lots of teams are that way, I'm sure, but the Rockets may be disciplined in how they maintain long-term flexibility.

Unless they land Iggy, its highly likely Battier is re signed and is the starter again next year.

He could be resigned, at a significant pay cut.
