1310 the ticket in Dallas is also reporting that it is all but a done deal. Those were there exact words, don't know where they got their info but if Dallas is reporting this also then there must be something to it.
I - LOVE - YAO MING ON TV - SHOTS OF STEVE FROM THREE - SIGHTINGS OF MO T- ....AND TWINS I - LOVE - YANJING AT 1AM - HANGING ON THE RIM - DUNKING ON THE TIM - ...AND TWINS AND I HATE - TO - LOSE!!!!!!!! rock on (ya bastards)
This is particularly true of David Dalati, who does the bulk of their actual reporting. He is always on the ball and rarely gets one wrong. He was the one that dug this up, so I trust it.
This seems to be mildly different from the chronicle's quotes of les last week, ie that there's still stuff to get done. Or to borrow Jeff's words from a post a week ago, (paraphrase), "what's the big deal, there's been a .1% hangup all ****ing summer". I'll acknowledge that this thing is done when Yao Ming is in Houston and the chronicle reports that he is a Rocket. I'll super-dooper dog acknowledge it when he's in a Rockets uniform. Until then, this is all Goldberg incrementalist bs (almost there, stay on target, almmmmooooosssstt ththhehereeree).
How do ya keep an Aggie busy? ^^^^^ no offense you TAM grads, just one of the oldest aggie jokes I know
Very strong!! The last time I was over there, I drunk 3 beers and staggard all the way to the restroom and hit my head on the commode. The next morning I was missing in action.
Amazing just a few days ago les says ticket sales are down and now this "late breaking news" hits. Sounds to me like a ploy generate more ticket sales. How long have we been hearing its a "done" deal. Good one Les
To be honest, we would have liked to have had him signed months ago. Having him signed should help sales -- and we would rather have had the help for the last several months instead of just the last few weeks before the start of the season. No ploys. We just want him here as soon as possible. Tim
Goldberg was quoted in the paper that they haven't heard anything since the letter on Monday. He said he does not expect to receive clearance to sign Yao Ming until next week. He stated it was a good letter (they received) - it addressed all of his concerns. He is writing back now with a couple of concerns that he believes are not problems and he is positive nothing will happen this week. It's like wiping your a$$ on a wagon wheel, same ole crap keeps comin' round...
