While I think you are right over the course of history, currently, it is glaringly obvious that there is a high statistical correlation between acts of violence and intolerance worldwide and a certain religion that is invoked to justify these acts of violence and intolerance. When Germany was the problem, the world's community addressed that problem by fighting a war against a country - that obviously also affected all the people who were not Nazis, their houses got bombed like everyone else's. Obviously, nobody wants peaceful muslims to be held hostage because of what the radicals in their religion are doing. But how to deal with them is a very difficult issue.

Isn't oblivious that when a christian kills they blame it on mental health but a muslim kills its because of his religion. How many times have I read that Some loony kills someone else because of blieveing he or she is the devil. All I'm saying is if that person was a muslim they would blame it on his religion. Just google " person kills what he believed was the devil" and first two word you'll always see is "Mentally ill". If the person was a muslim it would never say "mentally ill" instead just "muslim".

I used to think that. But when you concern yourself with what is actually taught in some mosques, and how, e.g., hate against Israel and justification of violence and intolerance is put into children's minds at a really young age, then you will find out that it is not as you say. Now, if you say that is not the islam as it should be and maybe as it was intended, fine, but that is the way it is taught in many places and to many people. And from there, you will see a causal connection to violent behavior at later stages. You are correct, it gives them an excuse, but it is not as easy to say "they were already violent, then they thought of an excuse and picked islam", it is more complex than that.
