Thanks for the reports, Clutch! Keep 'em coming. I love the access your getting this year.

kidrock8, it's unfair to compare ANY site to this one. None of the other one's are even close. Rockets.com has improved and is appreciated by me. I don't think remarks like that are helpful. We've gotten unprecedented cooperation from the Rockets, at least that I can remember, and info from folks like Tim. They're paying attention to CC.NET and getting our opinions. You just can't help b****in' about it anyway, can you. It's your modus operandi.

Rockets.com has certainly improved,it's got a lot more information about both past and present players.

I do want to make it clear though, that CC.net is my first choice for Rockets information. Rockets.com is becoming a good suppliment to CC.net. Since they are the official site they can post more photos and interviews, which we miss out on here at CC.net. Rockets.com still doesn't come close to Clutch's insight and honesty regarding what goes on during training camp. Too bad Clutch doesn't have the time or staff to get in depth info during the regular season (compared to personal accounts of training camp). I guess that's what the BBS is for. :D

CC.net is better than Collier or TMo, but -- I believe! Collier has a place in this league!

PS Are TMo and MoT brothers?

Unlikely. Their names are spelled and pronounced differently.

    *sigh*

It's a Simpsons line, dude. And one that I have never been able to work into a conversation, so I kind of hoped that people would recognize it.

PS I'm not a big Simpsons fan, but drop some King of the Hill lines and I'll be right on it!!!

Ehhh, maybe so, but if we kept the pick we definitely would have another Ffrst rounder with guaranteed money on the cap at some point for what figures to be a mid to low round draftpick, who would generally have a very small chance of being a legit player. That's one of the reasons why the Eddie trade was such a necssity last year rather than having to suck up 3 contracts. At least Morris is disposable, for lack of a better word.

In any event, 90% of guys drafted after 15 turn out to be Collier and Rhodes rather than Cassell and Mobley.

Well, the 1st rounder we sent off for T-Mo was a future one, as I recall...I'm not even sure if it has happened yet.

    Rice, Boki, KT, ... TMo

Rudy: " Ya probably need to work on improving your shot a little bit!"

    TMo: " Gotcha coach "

I don't know why that makes me laugh a lot, but, let me add to it

Rudy: " Ya probably need to work on improving your shot a little bit!"
TMo: "But coach, I'm working on my Shandon Anderson game."

    or

Rudy: " Ya probably need to work on improving your shot a little bit!"
TMo: "But coach, Steve told me at Maryland to give him the ball and don't expect it back, to just play defense."

    or

Rudy: " Ya probably need to work on improving your shot a little bit!"
TMo: "Yeah, but I'm still better than Langhi who you signed to 2 guaranteed years like you are a dreaming, wannabe again, white 70s star, shooting, ball-hogging fool."

Yeah, that's what I thought. But if our future is as bright as we hope and believe, then its gong to be a crap pick. If not, then we got bigger problems!

It may be worse than we thought,

Ch 13 was showing some TC highlights and the first shot of TMo was of him falling down at the top of the key and losing the ball to a breakaway, then the next clip was about a 12' missed shot from the left baseline.

Rudy: " Ya probably need to improve your shot a little bit"

    TMo: "  :( "

Sincerely, I like TMo and hope that he can get it together before camp ends. If I was asked what the biggest key to our offense is this year I would place the highest emphasis on consistent outside shooting, from 10' - 3 pt land.

    Good Luck TMo :)

Well, it can be argued that no pick in the first round is a crap pick. Sam Cassell was picked number 24 in his draft. There are diamonds in the rough that can be had late in the first round, so no first round draft pick is worthless...I think it was a bad decision to trade the pick for TMo, but certainly the Rockets have been guilty of worse over the years, so it is not a big deal.

Not worthless, just 80/90 % likely to be worthless with a guaranteed contract. Cassell is the exception that proves the rule, for every Sam Cassell, there's five Rodrick Rhodeses. And the rockets have been much beter in this area then most.

Unfortunately, T-Mo has stage fright. He's always been a great "glue guy," such as when he was with the Terps---he did all the little things and everyone else stole the spotlight---but, when you disappear in the pros, you'll disappear from the pros if you can't shoot the ball (especially at small forward).

I'm rooting for you, T-Mo, but you gotta make it happen now.
