I understand that you do not want to contribute any money to this fantastic site, and that you also believe the rules do not apply to you, or that you are somehow some special exception to the rules.

Your selfishness will be your ruin!

I am a charitable and well-respected member of this site. I have my made my contribution to keeping this site running - so, out of my magnanimity, I will allow you to create a SECOND post with your amended list of five (5) favorite movies.

There is no need to thank me, as I feel it is my duty to show respect for the less important members of ClutchFans.

    yea 5 is too small.

    10. The Good Shepard
    9. Je Vais Bien, Ne T'En Fais Pas
    8. Jurrasic Park
    7. Michael Clayton
    6. Never Let Me Go
    5. Back To The Future
    4. Owning Mahoney
    3. Das weiße Band
    2. Schindler's List
    1. Abre Los Ojos (Vanilla Sky)

really 10 is too small. No Country For Old Men, Cold Mountain, Das Leben der Anderen, Capote, The English Patient, Y Tu Mama Tambien, Kids, The Constant Gardener, Mi Vida Loca, Blood Diamond, those all rank pretty high in my book.

    Fantastic Planet (La Planete Sauvage)
    Brazil
    City Lights
    Koyaanisqatsi
    The Hour of the Wolf
L.A. Confidential (I know this is 6, not 5, but the OP reminded me of this movie and I just had to add it!)

I already listed City Lights, but I'd like to mention that for anything with Chaplin in it, I will sit down and watch intently.

There are also a whole slew of Iranian/Japanese movies that I love, but I stuck with Western film.

If you're new to Bogart, you're going to go into a 3 month Humphrey Bogart binge. It will be awesome. It will include Lauren Bacall, yes, but more importantly the Acme bookstore owner in The Big Sleep.

No other woman, ever again, will quite measure up to that bookstore owner.
