We need a star that will consistently get it done night in and night out. We need that go to guy. Yao will never get back to that form he had 2-3 years ago. With that money we are paying Yao we should let him go or sign him to a minimum and get a Superstar player. This is a star driven league. Scola is our best player but on a championship team he is a 3rd maybe a 4th option. This whole team is incosistent. Im sick and tired of this losing. Morey get a superstar!

Only problem is superstars dont grow on trees and teams aren't easily willing to trade them. If you look around the league there really isn't a superstar thats bound to be traded (maybe carmelo but I don't really consider him a superstar). the only way it seems like we would be able to get one is through the draft.

Though the thought of OJ Mayo has crossed my mind recently. I don't know his game well in detail but roughly I know that his skill set is VERY well rounded, even defensively (Kobe has made grade comments about him). I feel like his development as a player isnt flourishing because he's basically the third option behind gay and randolph but despite that hes generally put up fairly good numbers. I feel like he has superstar or near superstar potential and coming off the bench doesn't seem like an ideal fit for a player of his caliber. I think Morey should take a look at him because I've already been disenchanted by kevin martin's game.

    The Sig... :)

Kevin Martin for OJ Mayo and Hasheem Thabeet.

    Aaron Brooks for Demarcus Cousins.

    Tank

    1.
    2. OJ Mayo
    3.
    4. Luis Scola/Jordan Hill
    5. Demarcus Cousins/Hasheem Thabeet

Rebuild with young talent, and draftpicks.

    Bring over Sergio Llull...

I rep'd you for thinking outside the box. Conventional wisdom has not worked for over a generation in Rocket land.

I agree I always liked Mayo's game, if you put this guy into the right system he has the potential to be a a great player.

This is the type of thinking the FO needs right now. About rebuilding...

Although Cousins is out of reach...prospects like Mayo and Thabeet definitely are not and Rockets should have EVERY player available right now.

With reports that Cousins was kicked out of practice, and that the Kings LOVE Brooks, and that DM was after Cousins in the draft, I am starting to wonder If it is possible.

But yeah, unlikely I agree. One can hope! :)

I would do Martin for Mayo and others.

Mayo is a good defender and can get his own shot.
