I'm a cross between Barkley and Rodman in a short white man's body. I'll frustrate you with my D, tire you out with my physical play, suprise you with my ability to distribue the ball and amaze you with my all out hustle for rebounds. As for my shot, sometimes the hoop is as big as the ocean and sometimes it's like putting a square peg in a round hole.

6' 170 lbs. handles. sweet jumper. like walks on the beach and ... oh, my bad. True story: once played Rudy (shortly after he retired) in 30-minute game of OUT (like HORSE, but just three letters). Had two letters on him, but he won. Now I'm older, no vertical, and live nowhere near upcoming grudge match.

Finally, I have no characteristics that are anything like McHale. :p Refman, why would you admit that? I think the guy dug those arms up in a grave and bolted them onto his big chicken-breast torso.

6'6" 205, and better on the three point line or matched up against much smaller people.

    6'0 170 and too old.

Strengths--enough fundamentals to still play whatever is needed. And since none of you seem to be able to dribble, maybe I should just be the playmaker for all you "rebounders"....

I was playing ball with a few guys in my law school class a couple of years ago. One guy drove the lane and got past me...he was measuring his shot and I came from behind and reached around (without fouling) and got a hand on the ball. The guy yelled to his teammates : "Will somebody get this guy's Kevin McHale arms away from me and the ball???!!!" It was hilarious. :D

I'm about 6 foot and weigh about 160. I'm pretty strong in my lower body and my calves are pretty huge. (one of my calves may be bigger than some of my peer's 2 calves. :D ) My upper body is pretty weak, but I've been getting bigger. I may be able to bench my weight, but I never tried. (if I can't, its pretty close. I did 135 pretty easily.) I probably got a vertical around 30 inches, or close to it. I know I can touch the rim without getting a running start, and I had about a 24 last year. (And I don't have arms that reach my toes.)

As for my skills, I don't have much to brag about. I can play pretty good D and play post up D really well. (well, I feel I do.) I usually block any shots that shouldn't be shot. (hehe..) Rebound ok.

As for my offense...uh oh. I can dribble somewhat ok for a "big man," but I kind of suck at it. I never usually have to dribble anyway. I haven't tried to post up much, but I'm ok when I do. Layups are pretty easy for me. (both hands.)

I shot pretty bad from the field last year, but, strangely, I had a pretty nice FT stroke. Over the summer, I spent time shooting and improved. But like dribbling, I don't "shoot" much on my team. This year, I plan on breaking out and trying to score more. My problem is that I have a Jason Kidd mentality. This is ok if you are a guard, but most of the time I'm the center. If I have an open 8 foot shot, I may pass back for an open 18 footer.

Oops...I gave you my scouting report instead. :D

You least want to mess with me.
    6'1" 210

why, because I have an evil streak. Its true, I am likely going to hell. I can easily do bad things without thought, and withblittle remorse. this means I am liberal with elbows, pokes, knees, stomps and more during games. I love to tackle, which is why I hate basketball fouls and love rugby scrums. the main reason you might not want to mess with me is that i will hurt you in ways that you cannot get revenge. you can beat me down, but I will screw your girlfriend/sister/mother, whom ever! ;)

yeah, I will bite ya too if ya get close enough, and I have rabies :)

ok I entertain myself. must lay off the coffee.

    5'8-3/4", 145-170 lbs

Strengths - Temporary bursts of extreme hustle, wiping the floor with my body, passing, passing, passing, watching passing lanes, making the occasional steal, driving to the hoop and getting fouled two to three times on the way up, crazy behind my head shots on drives to the hole (not that they go in)

Weaknesses - Strength, size, shot selection (I'd rather pass)

6'1 200 lbs. I used to play tight end/defensive end in high school. I love the physical contact. I can hit the open 3 on occasion and I have about a 34 inch vertical. I just cant always grip the ball when going in for dunks. I play team ball, I look for the open man before I shoot. I figure that my hustle can make for any shot that I miss.

    OK

When B and JamesC get the ball, everyone drop off them and drape your man. Make them shoot.

    :p

What other football-raised Texan, Shandon Anderson-types do we have out there that love "team ball" but can't shoot like an Illinois boy or Euro to actually make it work.

Be a good sport and clear out, and go rebound Crisco's misses for him and pass back out to me to reset, like a good RocketsPimp and Another Brother.

6'6, 200 pounds and I suck at playing basketball (because I haven't done it too much in my life).

But I'm a quick learner...I should be able to dunk with a bit of practice and the rest can be improved, too...

By the way, I have a colleague who played with Dirk Nowitzki on the German junior national team a few years ago and who played for the University of Hawaii before an injury ended his career. Another colleague of mine played for the Danish national team. Maybe I should ask these guys to teach me a bit.

:D LMAO! I'm not sure what's worse: getting a shot blocked, or getting your arms compared to McHale's. That guy was obviously trying to hurt you the only way he had left.

I go 5 feet 8 inches tall, even though my TXDL says five feet nine inches.

    I go 125 lbs:eek:

I know, settle down. Yes, I have heard of red meat. I have heard of potatos.

Skills. I can dribble pretty good. If we played a full court, I could run the point. I have excellent leaping ability. I have some made hops, some ups, some anti gravity shoes. Luke isn't the only skywalker. I am short, but I can block your shot. Seriously. I seriously can. Ask Red. That was my highlight of the game, emphatically rejecting his shot. I like to pass alot, and screen, and backdoor. I like standing behind my man and then running away, leaving them behind a screen, or on the other side of the court. I can't shoot worth a damn sometimes. I can't jump shoot. I have to move and then shoot.

I can dribble left, then shoot right. Infact, I use my left more than my right now.

    Did I mention hops?

    :p
