Shane is sounding desperate these days.

"I was brought in to throw entry passes to Yao... Andre Johnson inspires me... Please don't trade me..."

Yao knows what's up. We were losing badly before the injuries to both he and Brooks. We won't start winning until we correct fundamental issues on defense, the same issues that have been plaguing us since last year. We build up big leads and give them up because we can't string together stops. We're the new Warriors, but without the excitement.

It's great that Battier found inspiration, but the rockets need to find his replacement ASAP. Same with Deke.

Grab a guy's facemask. Pull his helmet off. Hold him on the ground. Land one or two punches... and that's beating the F out of someone?

And don't forget the size differential...

Probably the closest its gonna get in the NFL, aside from a spine breaking tackle. I thought it was hilarious watching our stoic hero beat the irish outta that punk

Finnegan went after Johnson, AJ took his helmet off in the struggle, threw him down and got a couple WELL DESERVED FACIAL.

    Size differential?
It's the size of the fight inside a person not just size.

Shane is sticking up for AJ, what better person to say you did the right thing, coming from Mr. GoodGuy.

Shane watch Asian Kung Fu flicks they should really get you fired up before the game!!

    The Champ - that's a great nickname.

I'm willing to ignore the fact that his best season ever was 9-7 with no playoff appearances and go with that as a nickname.

    it's a good start, anyway.

and as for the size differential, if finnegan felt big enough to goad one of the most mild mannered players in the league into violence, then he got what he deserved.

Criticize as you want, but it's a shame that this type of thing doesn't happen to the constant floppers in today's NBA.
