To get Budinger out of this rotation??

He consistently sucks! I say put him in a trade package for a starting SF and bring Battier off the bench

Im sick of seeing him turn the ball over every time he passes the ball, which is a rare anyway, he usually just chunks up an air ball.

I'm not a believer that budinger is the second coming like some people here, but it's stupid to completely ignore what he did last year.

He's still a great athlete, and he can shoot. He was a great shooter last year, and all 3 years at Arizona. He'll come out of his slump, everything else about his game is just like last year. He's Von Wafer with a better head on his shoulders.

And it's common sense to not trade a player while his stock's low.

I agree with everything you said but Wafer had swagger

budinger is just a shooter who can jump high. He is a rocket and i support him but I dont see him getting any better than he already is. He cant create his own shot and when he seldom does drive the lane he cant finish. He cant take contact and the only time he does finish at the rim is when he has a wide open dunk. If his shots not falling he's basically useless. oh and he sucks at defense too. Von wafer not only had a swagger. He could create his own shot, drive, finish and he was clutch.

Von's swagger that you guys love so much is the reason he's been a fringe NBA player his whole career.

Von was way more passionate, faster and aggressive attacking the rim, buds just the opposite not as quick, very passive and plays more off the ball.

The Thunder only have around $36 million on the book next year. I'm sure they will match anything for Green. The Rockets are willing to pay extra since the Thunder are a top 5 team in the West. If the Rockets let Yao, Battier, Jeffries and Hayes go they will have $38.7 million on the books before re-signing Brooks and after picking up the options on Hill, Budinger, Taylor, and Lee. I think they can offer Green a 5 year, $50 million deal. Then re-sign Yao ($7 million), with the money that's left. Brooks is a restricted FA so the Rockets can match any deal. Signing Green or any other FA early is important.

    Yao / Miller
    Scola / Hill
    Green / Budinger
    Martin / Lee
    Brooks / Lowry / Smith

With the options to bring back Battier and Hayes for less, and the chance of Patterson/2011 picks paying dividends I like it.

I like this plan but I have a feeling they will try to deal Green sometime during the season to acquire the missing big they need. My sig says what i'd do but Green in the offseason would be just fine.

Exactly, it's not that I want bud to screw up as much as he does.
I'll pull for him, he just can't contribute!

If you're going to get Bud out of the rotation you'll need a SF to go IN to the rotation.

    Current squad = no options.

The rockets would need to renounce the rights to Brooks before they get that cap space. They can't use all their cap on signing other free agents and then just re-sign their own.

Man, I'd gladly take last year's Ariza (post Martin trade) over Lee/Budinger right now.
