The really depressing thing is how stupid most coaches STILL are with time management. When the Colts got inside the 5 with more than a minute left, it should have been abundantly obvious that TIME WAS NOT GOING TO BE A FACTOR FOR THEM. With two timeouts and a minute, they had time to run whatever plays they wanted. So if you're San Diego and have three timeouts, USE THEM ON DEFENSE and you could have gotten three back. The Chargers severely outplayed Indy in the first half, picked off Manning twice, and have all of a two-point lead. Heartbreaking - and so much of it is due to absolute stupidity. The simple fact that Manning has common sense sadly gives the Colts an enormous edge on most teams.
I liked what Dungy said during halftime. You're not going to beat the Colts with FGs. The Chargers were dominant defensively, and due to a late screw up in the second, you would never be able to tell that by looking at the score. Chargers have to punch it in, and stop being relegated to FGs. As I am typing this out, the Chargers are marching down the field with relative ease.
I've been wanting to ask this for weeks, but why are Freeney's shoulder stripes the only ones on the team that converge, instead of staying parallel?
And stall out at the ONE. The real killer is that so much of it is common sense errors. The ONLY reason why you throw on third and goal from the 1 - especially against a weak run D like Indy - is because you can come back to the run on fourth and goal if it doesn't work. Rivers saw the play breaking down and the rush coming for SEVERAL SECONDS... all he had to do was throw the ball away (or at someone's feet)... and he took the sack. These are killers.
WOW! You have to give it to the Chargers Defense, though! They're the only reason the Chargers can pull this out!

Second straight week for Manning throwing 3 interceptions a piece. Wow Manning is unraveling down the stretch while Brees and Brady are looking sharp for deep playoff runs.
I'm willing to bet anyone at this point that even with 3 turnovers and a terrible game, Manning is still going to make this a ballgame with yet another comeback like last week. Manning is too damn good to let this stuff phase him. He can score points in hurry like no other QB in the league. Still too much time left for Manning.
Chargers Defense has been Mannings Kryptonite in both the regular season and the the playoffs as well
Damn. If Colts lose (looks like it), Jags lose... Texans only one game out? WTF is going on in that division?
