Surprised no one has mentioned Fairy Tail, basically Bleach with magic, and the music and comedy far surpasses Bleach (and I'm a huge fan of the non filler Bleach mind you). Some other stuff I liked off the top of my head are the Kenshin OVA, Guyver (not the OVA), Kekkaishi, Xam'd, Tekkaman Blade, Noein, and Kurau: Phantom Memory.
fairy tail is just one piece with magic instead of pirates. one piece is pretty much superior in every way.
Hey kokopuffs, are you the same guy who plays Dota in THR T1/T2? If you are, I'm that annoying b*stard that keeps asking you if you're koo koo for cocoa puffs.
Death Note Code Geass Full Metal Alchemist Only Anime shows I've found worthwhile. Might be a few more out there but I'm not big on Anime. I did watch Naruto when it first came to the States (I was around 14, crazy how long its been) but I stopped watching around the 100th episode.
I disagree, I think the characters in one piece much different. I like comedy but the characters should be at least semi realistic. I don't devalue your opinion of the show, just not my cup of tea.
the 'filler' shows kind of suck but when they get back on task . . . still good Naruto: Shippudden is good too . Rocket River
Uh...Mongolian Chop Squad is actually one of my favorite animes. I disagree about the music. I think it really works well with the show and I'm pretty picky about my music. Other animes I liked are Basilisk, Berserk, Genshiken. Spirited Away is a must-see whether you like anime or not. It is one of a handful of movies where I could not change the channel because it was that enthralling.
>semi-realistic >fairy tail choose one. Sure, fairy tail is less over-the-top than one piece. but that just makes it more generic to me. Great shows are the ones that push the boundaries, not the ones that lurk in mediocrity. Ofc I can see people being turned off by it...but it's worthwhile to note that one piece is by far the most popular anime/manga in japan, even known to/popular with those who don't watch anime.
thanks all, trying to find some of htese that you all mentioned on Netflix streaming, so far, not so good, DVD only.
