Does anyone ever come away from reading these threads and seeing the vitrol being tossed from both sides right here on this board and wonder - no wonder it's such a hostile political environment? The gap between liberals and conservatives is the widest I've ever seen in my lifetime. It's downright nasty and dirty. It's really sad too. I just get this bad feeling that while this tug o war for petty power goes on, a big Panda is laughing.
It isn't just the big panda, there are plenty of rich Americans laughing their way to the bank as well.
Maybe today...but I don't think they are going to really be laughing that much longer. The economic stewardship the past few decades has been so bad, it will hit us all. Rich or poor. People who would be rich just become middle class. Being a doctor once meant really good money. Now their lifestyles aren't nearly as good unless they are in a specialty. Decline hits us all.
I'm not talking about the people that work for a living, I am talking about the REALLY rich people. They are diversified and have incomes and investments in currencies, equities, and bonds that don't depend on America or the dollar.
Yeah, they don't care. It's good to be rich, because you can then influence the system in a way to make you richer. It's not just the American way, it's the way.

Great post! So much distraction and vitriol for one another while China waits, watches and laughs at us. This country needs to find common ground and compromises. Unfortunately, our government would rather stoke our fears and strip away our freedoms.
I couldn't agree with you more, China is laughing all the way to the bank. Think about it, literally buying up the U.S. and creating a 1st class military at the same time. To me, that means they understand the power of MAD and how it will ultimately subject the U.S. to step aside.

And who made the cut for the top five? The NAACP, the Department of Homeland Security, the ACLU, the SEIU, and of course, the Southern Poverty Law Center.
