Obligatory "if they were so good they shouldn't have been in a position to have it come down to one player blah blah blah" But still, as McDonald's says: "I'm lovin it!"
How? Boise as a team gave up a 17 point lead. Hilarious choking by the kicker, but he didn't single handedly cause this loss. Love it!
Their season, their program to an extent, and any dreams that kicker had of going pro. Sleep tight buddy.
Haha was gonna ask where they go now. Hey, if it is the Humanitarian Bowl, at least they get to stay home.
Pretty much, but IMO what you do from year to year should have no bearing on the matter. (other than preseason ranking and we all know how fruitful that is). Actually that's pretty beneficial to Boise since you don't really drop much unless you lose and they never lose because they are a pretty solid B+ program playing a bunch of C-/D programs. But watch them win the bowl game and start next year in the top 10.
I'm not sad Boise State lost, but I wish so much blame wouldn't go on their kicker. TCU to the Rose Bowl or the BCS Championship Game.
This is the argument fans and people have been making. If Boise was to play Nevada type caliber competition 5-6 times a year like many of the other schools, then they probably wouldn't be 12-0 every year
BillPlaschke Signing off with one final truth: the boise kid made that last-second field goal in regulation. Refs blew it. Why is nobody talking it? what the hell? i'll never understand this stuff, i've heard this before in past years. the refs are right under the posts, they should know if it is good or not right? even if its questionable, doesnt someone in the booth see the replay and decides if it should be reviewed?
