i just wanted to see everyones opinion to what we think would help the Rockets right now, a coaching change, a trade a new GM etc. Discuss.
AB back, Yao back and to stay healthy, time to jell, more intensity especially on defense like the game last night, more Lee, less Battier. I would like to see what the team can do when all together and healthy before making a major trade.
I vote hustle. New coach sounds nice but who are you going to pull in for that job? and I was acting under the assumption that you fire Rick today.
A tough C / PF with athleticism, length, height who can block shots, rebound, and embarrass an aging Timmy Duncan.
Trade an expiring contract or two for some youth, athleticism and hustle. I agree with the c/pf comment above, but what about jordan hill? I'm enjoying his development and believe his mins need to stay up. I hear, due to the cba situation, Brooks isn't going anywhere. Not sure about this? Would like to see Brooks + battier + 1st for a young big. Cousins and filler, maybe?
Like solid, I want to wait and see what a healthy group looks like. So in lieu of health, I pick hustle. (anybody else watch the Rockets first game of the season last night? )
lol i don't understand how people were bashing JVG to all ends, and than now want him back? Grass is always greener on the other side?
None of the above. What the Rockets need is health and a witch doctor to drive out the injury demons that have plagued this franchise for years. Simple example was GS last night: without Lee they are in a tailspin. With him they were pretty good. With Brooks and a healthy Yao we are/were likely a playoff team, but no more than that. We are an elite, crunch time player away from contending for a championship. Let's see what Morey does with the accumulated assets at the trade deadline. Just my 2 cents. DR
None of the above options. They need to win the #1 draft pick and pick up a future HOF player, like Tim Duncan/Kobe game changer that is only available every 5-10 years in a draft. It's not likely to happen, but it's what they need.
