Detroit Pistons trade: Richard Hamilton, Tayshaun Prince & Rodney Stuckey Detroit Pistons receive: Shane Battier, Jared Jeffries, J.R. Smith & Aaron Brooks Houston Rockets trade: Kevin Martin, Shane Battier, Jared Jeffries, Jordan Hill, Aaron Brooks, 4.5 million trade exception & 1st rd pick Houston Rockets receive: Carmelo Anthony, Richard Hamilton, Chris Andersen & Rodney Stuckey Denver Nuggets trade: Carmelo Anthony, J.R. Smith & Chris Andersen Denver Nuggets receive: Kevin Martin, Tayshaun Prince, Jordan Hill, 4.5 million trade exception (from Houston) & 1st rd pick (not my trade idea, copied from another site but thought it deserved a chance here)
He is 6-4, as tall as Wade, not a undersized sg. His value is low now. It's a good time for the rockets to buy.
From what I've seen from him so far this season I don't think Mayo will ever be an all-star. Grizzlies are Gay's team.
Probably not. But, we are not in win now mode. It's no meaning to hold Martin's long-term contract. We can give Mayo a chance to see how he will fit here. If not fit, his contract is the team option next season. If we trade Martin for Mayo+ expiring contracts, at least we could have cap space next season.
Hell yeah!! His only 23yrs old, and has plenty of room to grow. His more of all-around player than Kevin Martin. His 6'4.25 that's good size for a SG, and he also has a 41 inch vertical ... --RB
I don't know if Denver will agree to taking Martin as a replacement for Melo. I would be satisfied if we got the somewhat erratic Nene for him. I feel Denver won't bite at it though.
I believe we need to sell high when it comes to Kevin Martin and Luis Scola, I think this two trades makes us younger while still competitive... this trades also gets us ready for the post Yao Ming era, by receiving two young centers, who are both defensive minded that can rebound and block shots .. 1st trade... Memphis/Houston Memphis Receives: Kevin Martin Jermaine Taylor Houston Receives: OJ Mayo Hasheem Thabeet ..... 2nd trade... Oklahoma City/ Houston.. OKC receives: Luis Scola Chuck Hayes Houston Receives: Jeff Green Cole Aldrich _________ 2010|11 HOU Roster PG: Aaron Brooks, Kyle Lowry, Ish Smith SG: OJ Mayo, Courtney Lee SF: Jeff Green, Chase Budinger, *Shane Battier PF: Jordan Hill, Patrick Patterson, *Jared Jeffries C: Cole Aldrich, Hasheem Thabeet,*Yao Ming *Unrestricted Players, expiring deals Add a high Lottery pick of 2011(SF Jones III, PG Irving, C Kanter, SF Vesely, PF Montiejunas, etc.) and you have a new young core to build around. --RB
i dont know about having Mayo and brooks in the same backcourt^^...they both need the ball...martin/brooks works so well because martin doesnt need to dribble much, but OJ sometimes does...
Okay, here goes a doozy. Three team, six player Houston_Charlotte_Denver trade idea. Houston trades: Kevin Martin, Shane Battier, and rights to NY 2012 pick. Houston receives: Stephen Jackson, Gerald Wallace. Charlotte trades: Stephen Jackson, Boris Diaw, and Gerald Wallace. Charlotte receives: Chauncey Billups, Kevin Martin, Shane Battier. Denver trades: Chauncey Billups. Denver receives: Boris Diaw, NY 2012 pick. Why Houston does it: Stephen Jackson and Gerald Wallace would finally give Houston the two way players it really needs and in Wallace an all star albeit low end all star. Why Charlotte does it: Billups finally gives Charlotte the real PG it's needed in a long time. This allows DJ to come off the bench and with Kevin Martin they will also get a much needed boost to their offensive output. Battier would help them keep some of their defensive intensity. Also, Billups and Battier aren't on long contracts so they are low risk. Why Denver does it: This is contingent on their wanting to rebuild post-Melo. They get to dump Billup's contract while netting themselves a future 1st rounder and a 9mil expiring in Diaw. Diaw meanwhile isn't a bad player and could help them short term in the PF position. If it takes more, Houston can offer a trade exception for one of their unwanted contracts. Maybe Birdman. Houston Lineup Post Trade Brooks - Lowry Jackson - Lee Wallace - Budinger Scola - Hayes Ming - Miller Charlotte Lineup Post Trade Billups - Augustin Martin - Henderson Battier - Carroll Thomas - Najera Mohammad - Diop Denver Lineup Post Trade Don't know because this is contingent on a Melo trade...

Three way dance... Rockets get Ricky Rubio and Darko Kings get Aaron Brooks TWolves get Jason Thompson/Patrick Patterson/Knicks 2012 1st rd pick/Kings 2011 2nd rd pick Rockets get the 1st bulding block in the rebuilding plan and a pretty good backup center/stop gap.(Can't believe I just said that). They will have take Darko's contract but it will be very much worth it. Kings get their point guard while only giving up Thompson and a 2nd rd pick. TWolves rid themselves of a bad contract for a young team and acquire a young center/pf to develop with Beasley and Love. They also get PP who can be developed or moved for another piece and two valuable draft picks.
Make it a three way centered around Brooks going to Sac Town, Cousins going to Denver and Carmelo coming to Houston.
Me too, I also like the idea of having Rubio on the squad with his buddy Marc Gasol being a restricted FAgent whenever the lockout ends. I like Rubio, Gasol and a high draft pick next year as the foundation for the next era of Rox hoops.
