    Damn man, that's really sad.

I would imagine as a responsible parent though to not let your child of that age near a balcony.

Every time something like this happen, I get reminded of Tears in Heaven.

No child that young should pass away. Especially not like that, at least something I think could be preventable. :(

This story made my heart skip a beat when I read it....I dont let my kids near a railing on just the 2nd floor....I hate reading about kids dying because of irresponsible parents....things that can be easily avoided

Lets not go and start calling the parents irresponsible or anything like that. They must be in a lot of pain. Accidents happen, some which can be preventable for sure, but thats not bad parenting.

I'm not sure the parents are not going through enough grief and guilt as it is, to have folks on here pour some blames on them.

    r.i.p. little boy

Lawsuits are definitely coming up, and I'm predicting some safety upgrades for stadiums across the country.

i've been to the staples center. they really need to put higher railings of some type to prevent rare cases like this.

that must be so devastating to both the parents and the lakers' organization

I'm genuinely surprised there hasn't been a story similar to this with someone trying to catch a t-shirt shot out of a cannon.
