Jeffries, Battier, and Chuck Hayes have no business playing right now. Not a single minute.

That's unrealistic. Besides that, Jeffiries rarely plays anyway.

Who are the other guys depriving of minutes?

Assuming you have an answer to that, how is it hurting the team in the long run? Is it devaluing some assets?

A new mentality... switch the W-L columns. We're 9-3??? That's pretty good! Hope we keep it up!

Hill and Bud are in the rotation, but I would like to see an increase in their minutes and roles. Patterson, I believe, will be brought back up in a couple of months. I'd like to see him get 15-20 min per. Scola, I would reduce in workload and playtime. The tread we save on him now may pay huge dividends later if/when we acquire a franchise stud.

As for how it is hurting the team in the long run, it slows their development. On court time is the best teacher. There is also the consideration of getting as high of a pick as possible in order to net a franchise player.

New mentality, Rockets are only 3.5 games behind the Clippers for the 1st pick in 2012.

Thanks denniscd. Some folks realize it is a marathon and not a sprint.

I don't see how giving Hill and Budinger 10 extra minutes is going to increase the chances of a championship anytime soon. You want to reduce Scola's workload to 'save tread' but increase the workload for Hill and Budinger? Is their tread not worth saving? What is the magical point where tread needs to be decreased and not increased? Have you done the math on that?

Yes, let's get behind OUR team. They're still the players that we cheer for even though they've lost the ability to play good for 48 min.

All I'm asking for is that each one learn to play smarter and harder, each one to show a little growth and improvement on the areas we're getting beat on. And for a leader to emerge out on the court who can fire up his teammates.

make fun all you want. wallow in your anger, despair, wishing for people to be fired or traded. my mentality is different, thankfully. chuck is a great low post defender, battier gives our team at least someone to start games who is a solid defender, brad miller is a proven back up center, etc. you may wish for different players, but i hope this group fights thru this mini bad stretch. i firmly believe we will be at or above 500 by christmas.

your attitude says alot about you as a person...i choose a schedule that is turning in our favor, a coach that has no peer in this league, a team comprised of superior people and when brooks and yao get back we will reek havoc on the rest of the nba.

That's the thing. Its one thing to say this team can bounce back...once the health returns, the schedule gets better, chemistry forms, etc....the puzzling part is picking a specific day like tomorrow, where there's nothing new or different to point at that can cause the change. The schedule itself doesnt even get better until about 2 weeks from now. This post could have also been made prior to the last 2 games...which we lost.

Rock on, man. It's better to fight on with a positive attitude than give up and cry. At least we're not Texans fans...wait...

Well, we have to see our team for what it is though. Denial will get us nowhere.

I think Rockets fans have gone through the disappointment, frustration and ranting stage. (Maybe some are still going through it.) But at some point, we have to move on. This is one way of moving on--cheering for our team again.

Fans of other teams won't do that; only we can and will. Even media is eerily silent about the Rockets. It's like we're really not even in the NBA; we've become invisible.

Hopefully the adage that "We have nowhere to go but up" holds true for the team at this time.

The original poster was right to a degree, you can't approach future games worrying about what you failed to do last time or your record, each game is a chance to get back in the hunt especially this early in the season.

That being said, I hope Adelman doesn't forget that certain combinations of players work better then others and that he has to give his bench players minutes not only to spell the starters for late in the game but also to develop them so that may eventually become starters themselves.

Mr. Head Coach, let Hill and Lee play.

I seriously doubt that he meant US believing!
I think it's obvious that he meant the HOUSTON ROCKETS changing their mindset!

See that's the irony, u thinking that this thread was directed to us prooves that your guilty of doing what u thot he was doing! Which is thinking that your thoughts actually effect the team!

I swear, some rocket fans need to just watch the freakin games in stead of trying to analize everything!

When they regain the ability to play good (sic) for 48 minutes, then I will remember how to cheer for 48 minutes. And before you call me a fair-weather fan or a band-waggoner a cheered for every game last year, including the losses, because a group of individuals played like men and performed like a team. This current squad is playing like a bunch of Kubiaks.
