From a ClipperNation blog: In the big picture, the most important thing about this season is to develop the young talent. Unfortunately, there could well be a lot of losing along the way. A league-worst 1-10 record, including consecutive home losses to the Pistons and Nets, is worse than expected, even if the rookies are better than expected... http://www.clipsnation.com/2010/11/15/1816957/new-jersey-110-clippers-94-a-bad-loss-for-the-u23s
Yep. From the Steve Novak trade a few years back. THAT turned into a nice exchange. Saved Les the ~$2.5M he'd otherwise need to spend to acquire a pick in the #31-35 range. Plus, given the lack of a guaranteed first round rookie scale contract, it's pretty much better than having a pick in the #28-30 range.
Nice win for the Timberwolves, another loss for the Clippers (1st pick in the second round!) and the Wolves move ahead of the Knicks and Rockets in the standings so more ping pong balls for us.
I'd much rather have the Clips' roster than the Rockets', right now. They have talent and athleticism, but are young. The Rockets have some skill but limited athleticism and very little length. Griffin, Aminu, Bledsoe, and Gordon are a very good collection of talent; a scoring big, an athletic wing, a talented wing scorer, and a solid point guard. If it weren't for Sterling, everyone would be going nuts over the pool of talent the Clips have put together.
ummm is this supposed to be in Dish? At any rate.. I hadn't realized we had this deal. So Baron continue to not play... gives Bledsoe more time on the court to grow and betters our draft pick
For once, the Clippers are doing the right thing. Once those guys get a taste for winning though, if they stay together, they will be deadly. Blake Griffin is a beast, Gordon is good too....add in a little Kaman and some Butler from deep.... They will get there. DD
Man you scared me dude. and your wrong. WE give up the 2012 2nf round pick to the Pistons for the C Bud trade and then 2013 we give the 2n round pick to the Hawks. You almost made me puke. Those early 2nd round picks are as good as gold.
