I really don't miss Landry for whatever reason. I just have something against non rebounding non shot blocking power forwards, though I'd certainly take him back on the team. Don't miss Artest at all. I miss Mutombo for sure, though he wouldn't still be in the league if healthy. If the defense keeps sucking like it does, I might even miss Ariza a little. Wafer had a rough start to the series for sure. He came around after game 3 the rest of the series, but with the infamous tantrum his improvement got overlooked and cemented his image as being a bust.
Yes, I miss that whole team from that year. Even Tracy in a suit on the bench watching his team get to the second round without him. Seems so long ago......
Toughness? More like team defense. Even Rafer Alston and Tracy McGrady's defense is better than this crew.
Dang i seriously have a man-crush on Mandry now  I still think its Morey's cardinal sin for trading him ..... him alone would solve our 4th quarter no show and melt down but instead he traded him for a 1-3 q man
Brace yourself ... Rick Adelman has said in the past that wasn't the first time something like that has happened : http://www.clutchfans.net/news/1533/adelman_speaks_on_von_wafer_incident/ What was more interesting was that Adelman said this was not the first time something like this has happened with Wafer. "We talked about it and this is not a one-time thing," said Adelman. "A couple of things have happened and, you know, it was not the right time. It's all about the team, and that's what Von and I talked about. It's my job to coach the team and it's [his] job to play." Chad Ford has said in the past he saw him clock a guy in draft workouts because he was getting defended closely. I couldn't find a direct quote on this, but you'll just have to believe me! *EDIT* : I may have found it! http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/draft/d05/tracker/team?team=lal Let's check out his draft projection at ESPN : http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/draf...m/nba/draft/d05/tracker/player?playerId=18821 Draft Projection: Second Round Summary: Excellent athlete with a nice outside stroke whose attitude problems at Florida State has tanked his draft stock. How do you say "knucklehead" in Greek? Here, let his former coach from Olympiacos tell you : http://www.euroleague.net/news/i/63419/180/olympiacos-released-guard-von-wafer "He had a playing philosophy that didn't allow him to make the adjustments needed," head coach Panagiotis Giannakis explained on Saturday. "If somebody is not eager to try to change himself, then it is better for him and the club to part ways." I'll give him a pass and say the Delonte West incident wasn't (entirely) his fault... So you see, this is how I come to the conclusion that Von is a knucklehead - he was a knucklehead in college, he was a knucklehead in draft workouts, he was a knucklehead with the Rockets, he was a knucklehead on another continent, and he got into a fight with another knucklehead when he came back. I have no idea if he's less of one now, but, good luck, Von!
Oddly enough, that was his career high. What's Chase's career high? 24. Twice. Does that mean anything? No.
