This post is ridiculous. You can't have a good defensive team with Kevin Martin, Luis Scola, and Brad Miller in your starting lineup. These guys are coaches, not miracle workers.

 

I miss the days of quality posting.

 

Let me ask you this op. If JVG was still the coach of this team, would Scola, Brooks, Landry and Bud be the players they are today? No they wouldn't, cause they would of been benched for a 35 year old journeyman.

 

JVG would be telling Yao to suck it up and play 35 minutes.

I never understand why Yao had the surgery at the first place. There was 2 options: surgery or non-surgery. He had the surgery, so he was supposed to be healed. Why only 24 mins? I just think this is malpractice if Yao could not play normally after the surgery.
Yao could choose not to have surgery and last year we might make the playoff. Ron would not leave either.
I just hate the Doc who ordered 24 mins limitation. Did he inform Yao prior to the surgery? This orthopedic guy just does not know what he is doing. Where is this 24 mins from? Did you fix him or not?
Yao is playing these 24 mins like 36 mins in order to make up those lost mins. This will only increase the chance to be injured.
Bring Gundy back, and play Yao as a real center!

 

Kevin Martin, at one point early in his career, was known to play some defense. JVG would bring that back and fine tune it. If you ask me, JVG would love a player like Martin on his team.

Im a former ballboy and I witnessed both JVG and Adelman practices. JVG would go over every detail of ever player on the other team down to what foot they would jump off of. The preparation was incredible.

Adelman barely speaks at practice. He has a different assistant go through the game plan each game. And it's ridiculous how little they know about the other team. I **** you not one time Elson Turner said before the Rockets played the Magic "Uh and they have Garrity uh I'm not sure if he even plays anymore but he can shoot the 3 so we will have to guard that.

Bottom line JVG is a way better coach than Adelman. It's a shame he's gone

 

JVG may not lead us to a better record, but for damn sure we won't play soft like charmin.

So I guess by this logic Phil Jackson is a crappy coach too because I guarantee you he isn't sitting around going over what the role players on opposing teams and isn't vocal and in people's faces all the time. News flash, different coaches have different styles.
