I paid $299 orginally, then my system overheated, so I sent it in and got a replacement voucher at Best Buy for $300. I bought the x-box again for $199 and now I have $100 extra dollars to spend. That's a sweet deal. Plus I have new machine all because I left it on too long. Nice.
I was retarted, I bought mine at Wal-Mart because it was the only place that had them last November. I don't have any issues with mine, but I "would" if I had bought the system at Best Buy...
Yeah, all 2 of 'em. Man, is that sick or what? Two freakin' games cost $100. I remember back when I had the Atari 2600... wait... they were expensive back then, too.
Were they $50?? My memory doesn't work that well anymore. I do remember many NES games that were in excess of $50 though.
Super Mario Bros. 3 retailed for 65 bucks I recall. Many Sega games were also in the 60 dollar range in the early 90's. Then of course N64 games were always running 60 bucks as well.
I did that with a printer at BB once. I bought the HP Deskjet 870Cse, got the warranty. 3 years later, it starts having some problems, so I take it in to get it repaired. A month later I call, and they say "uh, yeah, you can come in and get another printer". Well, I was pissed b/c they said they'd call me in 14 days or less. So anyways, I go in, and they say I can get ONLY a printer of equal or lesser value. Well, the printer cost $499 when I bought it. I wanted a color inkjet, but the best color inkjet I could get (Deskjet 970Cse) was only $399. They wouldn't let me add something on for the full $500 credit, so I came up with a plan that WORKED!! If they'd really called me in 14 days like they said they would, I wouldn't have done this, but they pissed me off, so I had to get them back. I bought the printer, then returned it in less than 14 days, so they gave me a return voucher for $499, the price of the original printer. A voucher I could spend on ANYTHING. I came back 3 days later and the printer I bought before was on sale for $299 as an "Open Item". I picked up that, the palm keyboard (folding one . . . $99), and the Cambridge Soundworks 4 point surround sound speakers (computer speakers -- $150 on sale) for $50 total Although it turns out that the joke is really on me -- that printer really has sucked
