I think if we had a record nearer to the .500 mark Yao would have been rushed back. Without AB and Bud, and a team that is in the hole 5 games we should rest Yao as much as possible and hope the B team brings us back into contention...

My guess, Yao is probably fine to go, and could actually play soon.
But, seems like, perhaps, something else is going on.
Maybe they are purposely keeping him out, and say well he needs another 2 weeks.

So when Giants get injured, they get more injured then a regular size person?
Seem's like this guy takes forever to recover from all of his injuries.

Yao being gone has become a usual. Seeing him on the court being productive is a shocker. I use to worry and stress when Yao got injured, but after repeatedly letting the team down (not his fault, genetics I know), my feelings have become numb.

C'mon, common sense here. The older a player is, the longer the recovery period, generally speaking.

I like this comment from Chron

So we got the following X-Files theories

    - His injury is more serious than we thought
    - Rockets organization is treating him like a prized glass doll
    - Rockets are utilizing T-Mac effect to prepare to trade him, after they show cased Yao for a few games
    - Rockets are purposely lowering his ability to get a larger contract.
    - Rockets are secretly tanking
    - His Wife wants him to spend more time @ home to take care of their child.

    Here's another plausible theory:

They are secretly lacing Yao's bones with Adamantium.

Yep, not uncommon and not very serious, just a more painful bruise than a more superficial one, and it involves the bone of course, but no fracture or structural damage or anything like that.

Wow, this is a *SHOCKING* revelation that I never expected when he first went down and they were saying just 1 week. Who would have guessed at the time that it would be more than that....

    I am shocked.

1 week and a half later
"Yao will be missing another 4 weeks"
    Then a month later,
"Yao to sit out entire season"
    Then
"Rockets Re-sign Yao to Vet Min"

This. The Rockets have been dishonest about Yao's health status over and over again for years, no reason to believe them now. They are acting like the injury isn't too serious to salvage what they can from remaining ticket sales before the city completely gives up on the team.

    Whos that franchise player?
Scola is 30, Kmart is probably a better 2nd or 3rd scoring option.
