I hate bandwagon fans! My dad falls into this category and it drives me crazy! Of course I just about lost my mind and broke my TV after the hail mary, but by Tuesday I'm ready for gameday again. It drives me crazy when fans turn on there so called team so quick. I say ride or die with your team to the bitter end. We've been waiting since 2002 to get to the playoffs, and its gonna feel so sweet when we finally do. Especially if you are a true fan and rooted for the Texans week in and week out! So what are you guys?

Does "ride or die" mean riding with Kubiak forever? If it does then I would rather "die" and you are an idiot.

Well fans cant pick the coach! Of course I want Kubiak to walk the plank, but my point is to root for the Texans week in and week out. If they lose then that is one step closer to getting a real head coach!

Sink or swim. Even if I have to endure another year of Kubiak.

Count me apart of the crew that doesn't want Kubes gone.

But nah I'm with you dude, I'm ready for the game. Even if we get smashed, I'll be ready for week 12 vs TEN by Monday morning.

Usually I'm good by Tuesday or Wednesday as far as shrugging off a loss and looking forward to Sunday.

But this year has seen a few games where the anger/disappointment/despair lingers all the way until Friday or Saturday. Partially because I listen to the press conferences and stuff like that now, but to hear Kubiak say he's fine with Bush or that they strive for balance despite a 29:8 pass run opening drive ratio, I can't help but think I'm not that far from throwing a 12 minute rant on radio airwaves.

Outside of their very first game, I have yet to be excited about ANYTHING the Texans have done. I like Bob McNair, but so far he's proven way to sentimental by holding onto David Carr for too long, Dom Capers for too long, and he'll probably wind up holding onto Smith and/or Kubiak and everyone else for too long.

It's only been like this for nearly 10 damn years. Call me when they're good. In the meantime, I'll keep half-assing my fandom, thank you very much.

Yikes, I was hoping this topic would always be limited to the GARM, but I guess not. No matter what the Texans do, I will always be a fan mainly because....

    I. LOVE. FOOTBALL.

Football is the greatest game ever invented and as long as there's an NFL team in Houston, that's the team I'm rooting for.

Doesn't mean I can't incessantly b**** about them though. Hell, that's half the fun of being a fan.

Love the Texans, but I can't talk about them right now to protect my sanity. I don't even go to the sports section till Wednesday after a loss as they have been frustrated.

So, what you are saying is, no matter what you will support the team with your money and emotion REGARDLESS of what type of product they put out onto the field.

Sorry, I am not willing to do that. I really like the Texans, I will continue to root for them, but after Sunday I am not going to waste my time on them because clearly management hasn't been wasting their time actually making the team better.

That's life, and it doesn't mean I am a bandwagon fan either, just a different perspective than you have.

Why do you give a crap about another person's decision whether to follow them or not.

It is a personal choice and I can promise you they don't give a crap about yours....lol.

I love my Texans, but their "defense" is terrible and disgusting to watch. I will always hope they win, but I have no faith in them anymore.

It's a matter of accepting reality. One of my fantasy teams has had awful luck this season and is now terrible. I don't pretend like the team isn't terrible and talk smack to others -- I know the team sucks. But it's still my team and I'll still do my best and hope to win every week. Same deal with the Texans -- they are a bad team, but they're my bad team and I'll always root for them to win.

Kubes and his boys have got to go.

I think you're mixing up fairweather fans with bandwagon fans. The Texans have yet to do anything to merit a bandwagon.

Last year in January/February when a slew of people that had never talked football before started posting "Who Dat" on their facebook? Those were bandwagon fans.

Folks that only show up on this forum when the Texans are winning (4-2! Playoffs!) or losing (Young > Schaub! Go Titans!) are fairweather (fans and haters).

These guys are my team, for better or worse, and I'm not going to pick a second team to root for each January. They win, I'm talking about it, they lose, I'm talking about it.

Maybe one day, they'll get things right.

I was a HUGE Oilers fan but when they left I kind of lost my way regarding football. Since the Texans returned I've been a loyal fan but not quite the same passion I had for the Oilers until probably last year. I will stick by the Texans through tough times because they are a Houston team and I'll root for them but honestly only within the last few years do I sense the same connection that I had with the Oilers starting to show up.

Yep, I joined the team this year, but am not that much of a fan.

I was die hard Oilers, not die hard Texans...still watch, but when that bomb was caught at the end, all I could do was sigh and laugh a little.

Just seemed so much like the old Oilers.

I fall into this category, die hard oiler fan but never gained that type of passion for the texans. In fact i remember seeing the Titans where throw back jerseys from the Oiler days and they automatically became my favorite team for one week.

I watch pretty much all the texans games though, i root them on, but i dont live and die with them. Like Dakota said, when that bomb was caught, i just laughed and said, typical texans ending.

Don't think there is anything wrong with that, now if the texans win out and make the playoffs, all sudden i buy 5 jerseys and tell everyone i'm the biggest texans fan since day 1, than i'd see why people like you would be upset.
