Sorry to burst your bubble guys, but that isn't a hologram. It's a rear projection on a (nearly) transparent screen. The only real tech breakthrough here is the singing software (which is impressive in of itself).
Ahhh... well, that settles my qualms about a floating image. Still, I think she had depth. The angle of the camera didn't reveal her to be flat.
It's a country that has this stuff yet is utterly befuddled by the concept of wi-fi. God, what a weird place.
This takes celebrity obsession to a whole new sickly level. Would you all pay to watch this? The better (in the future) question is, would you pay to see your favorite band if they did a concert and used holograms to simulcast it to 10 different arenas?
