the guy plays like a guard. it's scary b/c he still doesn't know how to use his body to get to the ft line. and usually that takes young players 3-4 years to learn. when he gets that down, his efficiency will skyrocket.

My opinion is that the T-Wolves have the best 1-2 punch at forward (SF/PF) in the Western Conference. Is this concept too complex for you to grasp?

2 2nd round picks is a lot of commitment if you're DM and consistently getting guys like Landry, Hayes and Chase in the 2nd round. Not so much if you're Kahn!!! and you've been picking in the lottery for 5 straight years (and counting).

And no Beasley isn't the best thing to happen to Minny since KG. That honor belongs to Kevin Love.

He scores alot of points on a very very very bad and talentless(other than kevin love who is a legit player) team. nothing impressive here.

Give the kid some props. He's been hated on all over the place, from his tattoo to his mar1juana use. I don't remember him ever being a problem on the court or locker room... seems like a guy that just didn't play well behind wades shadow.

He still looks like a pothead though, not saying that's a bad thing... at least he's getting it done on the court.

ya....beasley definitely deserves the props. I watched 3 mini games this year and in all of them, he was playing really hard. hustling back on d and being real vocal on the court. seems like he is moving into a floor general type role for the wolves. its always great to see a young player getting the chance to really blossom.

lol, don't be so modest. People shouldn't aspire to look like a pot head.

I agree with others that his numbers are magnified by the situation he is in with his horrible team, but I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. Maybe he's progressing permanently as a player.

    I'd say so.

He has averaged 32.6 points/game over the last 5 -- the most prolific stretch of that period in team history next only to Kevin Garnett's 34.4 average in 2000. Also, 13-25 from 3 PT on the season.

It's only his 3rd year in the league... even greener grass awaits B Easy  .

3rd year is when young players make that leap to stardom.

Well the one thing that surprised me with Beasley is the 3 pointers he's taken. Who knew Beasley had a working 3 pt shot? He's been taking around 2 three pointers a game and on average makes more than 1 all season...pretty amazing considering 3 pointers weren't really apart of his game in college. Not only that he also has a really sweet stroke, he's shooting almost 50% FG but he takes a ton of long 2 pointers. The only thing he's missing now is consistent effort on D and he's legitimate up-and-coming SF. I wouldn't call him tapping that potential though, 22 pts, 5.6 rebs is far from the 30 pts, 20 rebs he puts up nightly in college.

Definitely a steal for T-wolves, I guess he didn't work out in Miami because they kept trying to make him a pf. Of course now he makes Kahn!!! even more moronic for picking Wesley Johnson and trading for Webster. They really should have gone for Favors, or even Cousins since it looks like Kuester can connect with headcases.

    Word.

Love-Beasley-Cousins would've been sick-nasty. Factor in Jonny Flynn and the potential arrival of Ricky Rubio down the road... Kahn's sitting on a gold mine.

I dont think its the fact that he's playing in Minny than Miami

But he's better in a SF position than I thought he would and his midrange game is superub with the triangle offense ..

He by far the MIP in the League

Watch, Minny is gonna throw a max at this guy, and he's going to immediately start screwing up again. It's the NBA version of a Shakespearean tragedy.

    durant/green
    odom/pau
    randolph/gay
    dirk/anyone

i understand what you are saying but you are blowing your load over a hot 5 game stretch. and love is a great rebounder, but the guy shoots like crap for a PF and isn't much of a defender.

that being said...i like the duo and i hope beasley's game and maturity continue grow.

or maybe they are using him right (making him a SF instead of a PF) and he's blossoming. and he'll continue to blossom.

miami totally used him the wrong way. now he is next to love, who will do all the dirty work (rebound, defense) and allow beasley to focus on scoring. perfect role for him.

love got owned last night and beasley came back to earth against a better forward tandem out west. ;)

let's see if they can bounce back quickly.

Who cares about Beasley, the real question is:

Has Darko Milicic finally tapped that potential?

23 points, 16 rebounds, 6 blocks, 5 assists and two steals. Quite a fantasy line there.
